She never had radio support because her label never sent her singles to radio until Skyscraper which flopped on pop because it was a ballad.
and yes This Is Me was her first Top 10 hit and Skyscraper her second
I think they supported Miley because she wasn't just a 'teen' star, she sold LOTS of singles/albums and was really famous, she couldn't be ignored imo and she can be compared to huge popstars like Rihanna, Gaga, Katy etc.
