yes, acknowledging accomplishments made by race is something that should b celebrated, but not for stupid reasons. It has to be something groundbreaking.
Like Barack Obama - first black President
Oprah - first black billionaire
Not.. Rihanna first black female artist to score 4 #1s in a calendar year (although she is, and the only female to do so really)
or Beyonce, first black female to score a #1 movie, album and single in the same week.
it makes us seem like we always beneath them.

Well of course the office of President ***** on being a talk show host or a successful singer, but the accomplishments made by Beyoncé and Rihanna are big. And yes, musical achievements can be groundbreaking. Ex. MJ

Why do you think Madonna was able to recover at her sex book, but Janet hasn't fully recovered from Superbowl? Granted race isn't always a fact, but in some situations it definitely is. Any time a minority accomplishes something that is comparable to white counterparts, it's definitely something noteworthy. Some of the most noted publications have even made such distinctions when highlighting a minority artist.

Y'all need to stop with this though. When anyone is not the "norm" for something, it is appreciated, as it should be. That's something that's not going to change. Just how "albums" will probably forever be called albums, it's something that's going to stay. There's always going to be "first female to" and "first black artist to," so you can go ahead and get used to that real fast.

"Beyoncé was one of the most prominent black superstars of the early 21st century." Her race is relevant in this case because by emerging as a huge solo artist following the disbandment of DC, Beyoncé established herself as possibly the most successful black female artist since the Janet Jackson/Whitney Houston/Mariah Carey days. It is quite possible she's partially responsible for the later success of black artists such as Rihanna and Nicki Minaj.
In this case, it would not be appropriate to place importance on race:
"Beyoncé was the first black female artist to win 6 Grammy Awards in one night." Although this was an important and deserved moment in Beyoncé's career, it was not significant in breaking down any barriers, and reflected only the perceived quality of her music. In the past, the Grammys had been consistently accepting of both black AND female artists, and the reason she won the awards she did was most likely because the Grammys have always liked her music, and the IASF era was both successful and important for her career.
I feel like the second situation is something the BeyHive occasionally uses to make her accomplishment seem even more prestigious, when it's already impressive that she won 6 Grammys in one night.
Just IMO.

That is exactly what we do and that's why they made this thread.

Beyonce even had a performance in Singapore as part of the I Am... World Tour.

Beyonce stans need to re-assess their lives and seek for a psychiatric help. This trait of being over sensitive toward this race issue is really alarming. It might something do with their past or whatsover. They need help

It's the same as "Beyoncé is the first black artist to have her first 4 albums debut at #1." Yes, it's very nice, but ultimately, it's because people like her music. That's it. Her race isn't relevant to that statistic at all.
Just IMO.

I mean...yes and no. These issues are never black and white (no pun intended).
One could argue that everyone was on board to give Whitney a second chance.
To me, there are times when race does play a role, like in the creation of a viable commercial image, but then there are times where it's just so unnecessary to bring it up. But all that has to do with individual thoughts and opinions -- NOT ONES THAT REPRESENT A WHOLE STANBASE! Like damn people.

Everytime you log in, it's to insult Beyonce or her stans.

I never said they arent. Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston are testaments to that. I was just providing some examples.
Even simple things like:
Beyonce covering Vanity Fair is Huge, Halle Berry winning Best Actress at the Oscars (or anybody black person who wins there) is to be celebrated.
But when you put "silly stan receipts" on that kind of caliber is doing too much.

and ppl act like its just Bey fans
The media and billboard does it...they are the ones constantly saying "first black..."...I as a black start saying all the time as well because the media says it
And there's a big difference from first female or first black than there is first girl from louisiana

I've seen PLENTY and I do mean plenty of white people in SYG say the bleaching comments, post black to white gradation photos, mix her name with Baboon and Ape and so forth.
