Man In The Mirror is an awesome song, but SC is his best single of the 80s and period. As soon as those trumpets start after the second chorus it just infects your brain with it's amazing hooks! His OWs make the dance break section too.

Never really care for it as a single but his live performance at history tour is amazing.
But yes it slayed billboard at the end of the 1980s.
Shipped is easily over 2M now, I think the album has a shot tapping out in sales between 1.8-2M which means units-wise it's likely to be around 2.5M+ which matches the "Michael" release which rode the success of MJ's passing being recent and everyone wanting his stuff so this is fantastic news!

Have you found the shipments number somewhere? I think it's IFPI who's counting shipments but I haven't seen any shipment number for this album. But 2 million shipments seem reasonable. It sold very well even though the promo was minimal

No shipped should be in this year's IFPI report but tracking of sales over 1.5M would put actual sales a little higher since MJ is popular in countries that either aren't part of tracking (mediatraffic, chartnews, etc) particularly in Asia so crossing 2M shipped seems very likely. It's Epic's best-selling release in the US and WW of 2014 either way
