Didnt say thats what you all cared about; just like how not all Gaga fans care about just her "fashion" or "shock appeal". But obviously fans cared enough to make it the most asked about question. T.V. editors made it that way for a reason. Look at the hype it has given with the buildup/cliffhanger ending. That teaser makes it much more intriguing for a viewer to want to tune back in than if it was focused on something else in the interview. TV editors know just as well that the public is waiting for that shady comment from Madonna/her "true thoughts" on Gaga.

Madonna isn't the only who does it. The problem with music is that people are afraid to do what Madonna does. Everyone has to like everyone and they have to think that the artist they're talking about is the greatest in the world. No one wants to be the bad guy because they're afraid of backlash. Artists like Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, and Noel Gallagher have been speaking their minds for years on what artists they like and who they think is aweful.

The problem is that many people want their favorite artists to be more honest and more forthgiving of their actual opinions, yet when they actually give it they're demonized as bitches or assholes. If you want your artists to lie to your face and tell you that they think everything is amazing and they love everyone then okay do that. But I'd rather have the truth and I appreciate when my favorite artists say what is exactly on their minds. Whether they're dissing an artist I like or not.
