every trinity has that superstar iconic white girl (madonna, mariah, britney, gaga), the less iconic bust just as successful black girl (janet, whitney, bey, rih), and the overlooked white girl (kylie, celine, xtina, and katy(although katy is not as irrelevant in her trinity as the other ones)

Switch Janet and Whitney.
Replace Kyle with Cyndi Lauper.
Replace Christina with Shakira (or as much as I hate to say this, P!nk).

Um no, why are you trying to avoid the question/facts? Selling out stadiums with tickets ranging from $50-$500 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Someone buying a disposable 69C/99C single.

All you girls need to worry about is Katy outselling the other two in record numbers. Have fun.

Well, Marry the Night was cancelled on radio so it's technically not a single anymore, plus she has a tour starting 2 months, she's rehearsing for that. Just because she's laying low atm =/= she's irrelevant.

I'm not avoiding anything. and those disposable "69C/99C" singles tied her with a legend. And just so if you didn't know, the California Dream Tour was extremely successful.

and if you ask ANY member of the general public whether or not she deserved to tie with the legendary Michael Jackson, 99.9% of people would say NO + oh, i didn't say it wasn't successful at any point, i'm just saying that my fave has so far effortlessly outsold your fave in respect to tour dates, and i'm stating that in terms of relevancy; Selling out stadiums/areas >>>>>>>>>> having #1 hits, because, people are actually paying a substantial amount of money to see an artist live, whereas when they buy a single, they only pay 99C, but, in Katy's case, 69C and maybe a couple more copies if they want to download the inevitable remixes

Did you not see me post that the California Dream tour was successful? And using the remixes as an excuse to shade Katy is so tiring. Nobody even bought the LFN and TOTGA remix, and E.T. would have obviously smashed entirely on its own. LFN was already #1 on every other format, and just needed that tiny push for the #1. And how are tour #'s better than #1s? Maybe some people can't afford to buy the tickets to the concerts. I sure can't. But I can support my fav by buying their songs and helping them go #1, and be successful. And how did we get into a tour date discussion when this was obviously about singles/albums at first.

I'm saying that tour sales show that an artist is more relevant because people are paying more money than they would pay for a single. It's simple logic. Let's not, it's common knowledge that Lady Gaga is more relevant/successful worldwide than Katy Perry, i'm not saying that Katy isn't successful, but I am saying that Lady Gaga is more relevant. I live in the UK, and Katy isn't considered a 'big' artist, no one that I go to school with or work with talks about her or her music, I never hear any of her music apart from E.T when i'm out, on the other hand, Lady Gaga has had Marry The Night flop here, yet she is still one of the most discussed/downloaded artists in the UK after Rihanna; and i'm not just saying that because i'm a Gaga stan, because, believe it or not, I actually like Katy Perry, but when her fans try to discredit and belittle Gaga , and i'm pretty sure that people can afford to pay $35 for a concert ticket; and if your comparing star power between Gaga/Katy, the two both performed their lead singles at the GRAMMYs + POM has already fallen to #7 on iTunes whereas BTW at this point was still #1, and don't try to say it was because of the hype, EVERYONE that bought that song heard it before they paid for it.

The delusion
You will never be iconic if you don't have anything memorable or leave any impact. Discredit Gaga all you want, time will tell.
