The reason why I said I wouldn't post in this thread again is that I knew there would be much stupidity in here! (Yeah, I failed in staying away.) It really makes me angry reading these halfassed developed opinions!
I'm not a woman, but if I were and got raped, I know I would not want to have the rapist's child. Adoption is not a universal solution. Firstly, the rape victim has to deal with the actual pregnancy and be constantly reminded of the ordeal. Secondly, most people would not want to give their child away, even if the child is sired by a rapist! Giving your child away is psychologically damaging in itself.
If you're pro-life because of your religion, remember, it is
YOUR religion only! Don't have an abortion if you get raped, have some inheritable disease (I firmly believe it is evil to have a child if you know it's going to have a SEVERE disability), aren't financially able to raise the child ect, but don't try and stop someone else.
As for women who have abortions without good reasons, I've already mentioned one possible (though imperfect) solution. Why should a rape victim or a poor woman impregnated by a busted condom ect be denied their rights just because others abuse theirs?
If a smoker gets a lung transplant and continues smoking, does that mean lung transplants should be banned altogether?
With the murder argument, washing your hands is murder! Have you ever masturbated or had a period? There is a difference between something living and something living with a consciousness that can feel and think.
