Let me get this straight. Loud is in the top 15 on Mediatraffic right now, pulling in 40-50k a week, she's 3 months into her Loud tour... no. Just no. She should've started her Loud Tour way earlier or something. If the tour ended in like October or something, alright. But she's intertwining eras and I'm not here for that. The lead single if true will be released in the next 5-6 weeks, maybe even a second single a few weeks before album release.. this mess.

Wait till March or something. The Loud era isn't due to end until like November... my problem is this:

Rihanna and L.A. Reid assembled a group of songwriters and record producers at several recording studios in Los Angeles for two weeks to write songs specifically for her and finished with around 200 tracks, eleven of which made it to the album

Take 5-6 songs from the hundreds of songs you recorded, slap them on an EP, extend the era till January-February, come back to America (and come to my damn state, bitch) for an extended leg of the tour. Release the new single in February/March-ish, possibly a second in April, then release the album either in April or May.

I can't with these rushed albums. Why doesn't she sit down & take the time to make a classic album, instead of being in such a rush for a #1 hit?

Yet Good Girl Gone Bad was completed in 4 months and released just a year after AGLM and many call it a classic.
I don't think time necessarily has to do with outcome. Some artists music is best because they work fast.
Christina Aguilera took a LONG time to release Bionic and it for sure has it's errors.
I think what's more annoying is that she's still on the Loud tour and it's the biggest tour of her life. She can still go to many countries. I would have liked better for her to finish out the tour, promote Battleship and release a single from the soundtrack, do her clothing line, another perfume and then 6th album mid-late 2012!

She has already made a classic album. Rihanna has 10 #1s already. If it were about #1 singles she would have re-released. I think this is about fulfilling her contract with Def Jam. This would be the last album she owes them.

Rihana doesn't need to take breaks though. She doesn't need the time to write.

But I agree with what you said about her tours. They may be World tours but their impact is minimal. I really thought she would have toured an entire year before even stepping in the studio. She should visit other places she hasn't gone either. This was the perfect album for her to tour EVERYWHERE. It had hits everywhere and would have been good for her next album.

Any album is going to have its errors, but knowing how much hard work & time they put into makes it worth it. But I agree with the rest.

If this album is coming by the end of the year then it does not matter if Def Jam wants to sit on their hands because she is not going to promote it anyway. She will be on tour.
