Mess this is so awful! He probably has one of the best discographies ever.
Supposedly he had a cocaine addiction or something (?) and I'm assuming that's what caused him to pass earlier.
I can't say I'm 100% shocked because I've been following him this year (a LOT) and I knew he was in very poor health. He had a near death experience not too long ago.
