Plus the album has no hits. Chunky maybe but if he continues releasing music like this he's about to become the new Jason Derulo with novelty songs and no actual substance to back it up.
I really don't see this album doing well long run.
Gaga on the other hand can sell an album without a single, which is impressive. If MR managed to hit her sales and SPS would skyrocket.

What payola are you exactly talking about? Its callout scores on Pop are awful, what makes you think the public from the other formats is not receiving the song in a good way?
Is there such thing as iTunes payola? The song was #1 during the album release week and it wasn't and hasn't ever been discounted. Spotify payola?
If that was the case, he would be slaying that streaming service. YouTube payola? I didn't know YouTube forced users to watch videos.
Why would he become the new Jason Derulo? Girl, Uptown Funk, Locked Out of Heaven, Grenade and Just the Way You Are may not become classic songs, but the public recognizes them, specially the young crowd. His tour sold a million tickets in 24 hours and he had to add more dates to cease the demand. When has the guy you brought up done that?
That's What I Like was well received by the Spotify users, hence it debuting on top fifty last week. This album will end up selling decently whether you like it or not. You can keep waiting on Million Reasons to become a hit, and I hope it does since it's a really beautiful song.
