Britney performed at a big awards show this year, while Katy hasn't really been doing anything. In spite of that, it couldn't get hype for her LEAD single. So sad for her
You're lucky no one cares enough about your fave to drag her
Maybe that was it's debut sales but 169,000 was the highest its sold in a week, I believe.
OT: It is pretty tragic that Katy ("singles queen") can't even get into the top 10 of the best selling songs per week :/
Oh you're right! They're considering the full week instead. Anyways I hope we can all realize our favorite artists just won't sell loads easily anymore. Streaming is rising 🌚
Hopefully Rise has great longevity. 130k seems tragic but perhaps it can outsell that in another week, when the real video is released or if she performs it at the Olympic opening ceremony as rumoured.
This site always cries about streaming and tries to say it doesn't matter "and selling is always more impressive!!" so it's going to be fun to watch every single fanbase suddenly start using Streaming receipts and such in the next year.
!!! It's clear that they don't pay attention to the current climate. Anyone with basic knowledge of the charts isn't shocked by this stuff bless their hearts
didn't even crack top 10 and it's the industry that's changing.
Maybe the song will have another week where it sells more but who knows?
For now, it's pretty tragic for Katy.
The "sales climate excuse" doesn't work because plenty of other songs have sold more than 130k this year. Katy didn't even make it in the top 10.

Why are people a expecting a lot from a randomly released olympic song that has a video that doesn't even feature her? It has no radio deal either. It's not a lead single peeps.
