It decreased a bit in sales and streaming, but yeah have with it overall with a point increase compared to last week.

They don't need to. An artist can merely record themselves on their iPhone singing the song, upload it to their VEVO, and it would count.

And that's the problem. The measure of popularity that Billboard use is inadequate. Whilst being popular can generally indicate that the song is well liked, it can also indicate that a song is incredibly disliked. When someone buys a song, it's because they like the song. When someone watches a video, it could mean they are doing so due to how bad it is, a publicity stunt of some sort, or just generally disliking the song so much that they felt they had to visit the video to make a comment.

I don't want songs that are disliked by the GP to do well on Billboard, it just doesn't make sense.

Same I actually liked SELFIE a lot as well as their newer stuff. Much prefer Roses though out of the singles

Has anyone done that though and you're assuming it would even go viral or have enough streams for a decent position and like someone said billboard measures popularity so why not encompass everything that entails.

I prefer #SELFIE as well, its fun at least. Their singles are nothing special I dont even know why they are so big in America. DLMD is definitely catchy btw, I can see why its the biggest hit.
