I love it because it's the opposite of what I expected.
I was expecting a bright, slightly annoying video like most of the pop girls do with their Dr. Luke songs, but this video is way darker than I expected. It works and actually makes the song sound better.
It's cute how some of you are convincing yourselves that this video isnt bad. The legendary We Found Love video must have really wiped her out. It looks like her and her team put 0 effort into this.
But it is absolutely apparent there wasn't too much thought put into it, and that is most likely due to the fact that Rihanna is trying to do too much with limited resources. The video on Facebook said in the "behind the scenes," thing that she was going on 1 hour of sleep.

I think what bothers me about this video is that many people are going to call it "cute" and "ok" but if Gaga had released a video like this (see The Edge of Glory), there's meltdowns all across the board.

I'm honestly surprised she even released a video for "You Da One" ... I think it would have worked better as a promo single, not an actual single with the full treatment.
I like the lyrics popping up. too much crotch grabbing though 
and was she humping a chair? 
. But this was typical boring rihanna..
