There are several reasons that “Katy Perry: Part of Me” is more interesting than similar movies about Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. Most simply, she just has more talent than any of them, and her songs have a wider emotional range.

In terms of this type of movie genre it is. We know and most music heads know Katy is clearly more talented than any of them. But to the average person on the fence about seeing her movie this is the type of review that could possibly sway them to the theater. That added assurance that this is not a Disney flick is great news to some
metacritic? Jeebs. how did bieber's movie do?
And people are wrong to assume that metacritic is invalid in terms of movies. it has reviews from professionals.

Does Part of Me plumb the depths of her soul? Hardly. As billed, it's a part of Perry she's willing to share. Her skimpy outfits reveal more than this smartly crafted film, which plays up Perry's effervescent personality and colorful biography without exposing a private life she has guarded since I Kissed a Girl stormed the charts in 2008. Expect a big juicy screen kiss, not a kiss-and-tell.
