Katy won't last as long, in my opinion. Her songs are great but I just wish someone else was singing them. Like Dark Horse, I wish someone else was singing that song because her voice is so stiff and not fluid and that's what the song needs.
The only song I liked her singing was Teenage Dream and even then, I could have imagined others doing that song justice. (She ventured out, great for her but didn't succeed well in that front or many other fronts)
Gaga has range with her music and for the most part, can chameleon herself in any kind of genre and emerse herself in it and it would sound natural (much like Madonna and Britney have when they played with other genres).

What?
Gaga's voice is so one dimensional. Her ballads sound terrible compared to her pop singles because her voice does not fit. There is a reason why only her pop dance songs became huge hits.
Katy can sing pop anthems (Firework, Roar, California Gurls)
As well as ballads (TOTGA, Wide Awake, Unconfloptional)
And she also sing urban-ish songs (E.T., Dark Horse)
And she pulls them off. You personally may not like her voice but it's obvious other people do by the way she consistently sells even when she changes genres.
The only well received Gaga songs are her pop dance tracks.

Probably, does not really matter though. She will not be remembered. People will only discover this in time though.

Do you think Gaga will be remembered by the Public?
