ABC has the No.1 drama (Grey's Anatomy), the No.1 comedy (Modern Family) and the No.1 freshman series (Once Upon A Time) and is still last.

Meghan Ory Upped To Series Regular On ABC’s ‘Once Upon A Time’
We’ll be seeing a lot more of Ruby in the magic-themed second season of Once Upon A Time. Meghan Ory, who recurred as Ruby aka Red Riding Hood on the freshman season of the breakout ABC drama, has been upped to series regular for the upcoming second season. I hear the promotion was put in motion at the beginning of 2012 when Ory started fielding strong interest for pilots. It was triggered recently, following Once‘s second season renewal by ABC. Canadian-born Ory, Gersh and manager Russ Mortensen, ended up appearing in 17 of the 22 episodes of Once‘s first season.

ONCE UPON A TIME, Ep. 201
Director: Dean White
Writers: Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz
Shoots: July 13 - 27
Location: Vancouver
[ANASTASIA] Female, early to mid 20s. Born into a life of wealth and privilege, Anastasia was raised every bit the polished princess. But beneath the shiny veneer of a spoiled young girl beats the heart of a woman willing to sacrifice everything for love. Recurring Guest Star.
[MAGNOLIA] Female, Asian. Early to mid 20s. A warrior first and foremost, she could hold her own against a swordsman or even a king. She is trained in weaponry, tracking and riding, but has a spirituality that enhances her tactical and strategic abilities. Like the flower she’s named for, Magnolia is beautiful and may, to the uninformed, seem delicate; her roots, however, go deep—she has an intuitive connection to the land and to the creatures who inhabit it. She can “hear” the breathing of the earth or “see” a camouflaged animal. She is well-versed in the philosophies of her people and is able to see the larger picture. She has suffered past betrayals, so her trust is hard-won, but once she gives her oath of friendship her loyalty knows no boundaries. Similarly, when she falls in love, she falls hard—Magnolia’s armor protects a fierce heart. Recurring Guest Star.

Once Upon a Time Season 2 Spoilers: Questions on Magic, New Characters and Realms
Quote:
Once Upon a Time showed no magic in Storybrooke until the first season finale, but Rumpelstiltskin has made sure that the next chapter will be different. There will be magic in the altered Fairy Land, because "magic is power."
"Season 2 will be different than Season 1," consulting producer Jane Espenson confirmed to TVLine.
Main writers and executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz have also answered some questions on the future of Once Upon a Time, and they seemed ready to introduce more fairy tale characters into the existing mix.
In Q & A format, below are some of the things you can expect from Once Upon a Time Season 2. Stop reading if you don't want spoilers.
How will Season 2 begin?
"We're picking up right where we left off, but where we left off was in the middle of a veer in a different direction," Espenson said.
Will there be additional fairy tale characters next season?
"We definitely would like to do The Little Mermaid and Rapunzel and Aladdin," Kitsis told TheVoiceofTV.
"I would hope Ariel would join the show," Espenson told TV Line, adding, "She's one we've definitely talked about."
Will all the main characters come back in Season 2?
Swan, Snow White, Prince Charming and Rumplestilskin will definitely come back. Kitsis call them the "core characters" of the series.
Will we find out what happened to Emma Swan after Pinocchio left her?
"We saw a first little snippet of baby Emma in her crib... There's always room for more," said Horowitz said.
Now that magic is back, will the series still exist in two worlds?
"We don't want to abandon either world," Horowitz told Zap2it.
Meanwhile, ABC led last season's genre shows with Snow White, Emma Swan, and the rest of the characters in Once Upon a Time.
The interwoven tales at Fairy Land and Storybrooke topped the season's genre shows with a 5.7 rating/9 share, according to Fast National average overnight ratings from The Nielsen Co. It is followed by "Touch" on Fox with a distinctly far 4.7/7 rating.
In Australia, the story of Jiminy Cricket will be seen on Tuesday night's episode on Seven. The fairy tale series did not hit the one million viewership rating last week. Will more Aussies tune in to see Jiminy Cricket and hear his wish to the blue fairy?

Once Upon a Time Season 2 to Explore Love, Parallel Lives
Quote:
On Once Upon a Time 1, Jennifer Morrison’s Emma fell in love. With her son.
But following 22 episodes that featured a major focus of this ABC hit on Emma and Henry, the actress tells Entertainment Weekly that Season 2 will “explore the idea of allowing romantic love” to blossom in the character’s life. With whom? Well…
“[The Huntsman] was in the season finale so they’ve established in fairytale land you can still flashback to him existing there, even though he’s not alive in reality,” Morrison says. “I don’t know what this means now that we’re bringing magic…
“We don’t know what that means for Pinocchio. Is he still going to be wood or is he going to come back to life? We don’t know if that means the Huntsman can be brought back to life. We don’t know what the rules are going to be now because everything has changed.”

'Once Upon a Time' scoop: 'Hangover 2' actress cast as legendary warrior -- EXCLUSIVE
Quote:
A legendary warrior is joining Once Upon a Time‘s second season.
Hangover 2 and Sucker Punch actress Jamie Chung has been cast as the Chinese fighter Mulan in the show. The character is expected to have a recurring role in the ABC hit’s eagerly awaited second season.
The character originates from an ancient Chinese poem about Hua Mulan, a young woman who takes her elderly father’s place in the army. ABC’s parent company Disney adapted the story for a well-received 1998 animated musical film starring Ming-Na and Eddie Murphy.
UPDATE: Some more details about Mulan’s character. She’s described as having been trained in weaponry, tracking and riding, but “has a spirituality that enhances
her tactical and strategic abilities. She has suffered past betrayals, so her trust is hard-won, but once she gives her oath of friendship her loyalty knows no boundaries.” Also, “when she falls in love, she falls hard.”
How will Mulan fit into the show’s current storyline? Perhaps the showrunners will give us some clues at Comic-Con next week. Speaking of which, the show’s moody blues Comic-Con poster has been released. Check that out below:

Exclusive: Wake Up! Once Upon a Time Has Cast Sarah Bolger as Sleeping Beauty
Quote:
Irish beauty Sarah Bolger shall also be a Sleeping Beauty, on ABC’s Once Upon a Time.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Bolger’s recurring character, Princess Aurora, will be introduced during the sophomore run of Once, which was last season’s highest-rated freshman drama. The fantastical series will again air Sundays at 8/7c; ABC has not yet announced their fall premiere dates.
Given Aurora’s backstory — namely, how she was cursed by Maleficent to die (or thanks to a fairy guardian, only fall into a very deep sleep) from a finger prick on a spinning wheel — one has to wonder if we have not seen the last of True Blood‘s Kristin Bauer van Straten in the fairytale land that was.The 21-year-old Bolger’s credits include Showtime’s The Tudors (where she collected an Irish Film and Television Award for her portrayal of Mary) and the 2002 film In America, for which she earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination among other nods.

Hm, interesting to hear that there will be a Mulan. I honestly did not expect that but then again, the crazy way they've made out the story to all integrate is beyond my imagination.
I ammm looking forward to more Ruby and Belle <3
Then again, after that finale, it was bound to happen.
I can't wait to see how they deal with both perspectives!
