Well, congrats to Rihanna
But I still think Katy's numbers are very good.

They made a mistake for Belfast I think bc I don't think that arena holds 18k people and she did 2 show there but is only being reported as one. It is sold out at least

Yeah, it's probably the two shows reported as one Cause indeed, this arena can't hold 18,000 people.

Money, money, money. Who gives a **** about money ? It depends on the tickets price...
You guys are always seeing the money everywhere but the attendance ?
I'm sorry but selling an average of 10,671 tickets for two nights in an arena that can hold more than 15.5K is not perfect.
And I'm not only a Gaga fan, I like Katy too.
Her UK leg didn't reach the expectations at all and she actually did better with her last tour in the UK.
And please, stop saying that UK is her weakest market because don't forget that she sold 1,7M records there with the Prism era.

Lmao it IS about the money though.
Touring is where artists make most of their money now due to the decline or album and single sales. You're absolutely delusional if you think at the end of the day the people on her team are more upset that the attendance isn't higher but the money is awesome.

It definitely is about the money, but teams do not like having to report a show hasn't sold out, especially when that team belongs to someone who is supposed to be the "biggest popstar in the world".
$898k a night in Manchester and $829k a night in Belfast. I'm not gonna lie and say that's good, but it's also not that bad either. Supposedly it's her "worst market" even though 'Roar' was a big hit there, but I guess the UK is selective when it comes to who they pay to see live.

To be fair, her CDT grosses were kind of horrible, so it wasn't hard for her to increase.

Pretty underwhelming numbers considering the UK is huge touring market and her music has been very successful there in the last 3-4 years. Guess her awful televised vocal performances last year turned some fans off She'll make up for it with Australian and North American dates, though! I still think the tour will easily gross $100m+.

I don't care if it doesn't reach YOUR expectations. Repeating: UK is not her biggest market. Look at my last post and you know how she's been growing.

I can't believe there's only monsters here discussing. OMG, scared.

All the matters (in UK, her weakest touring market) is the gross. End of it.

I find the attendances to be very telling.
California Dreams:
Manchester: Avg. of 11,243 a night.
Belfast: 9,932 a night
Prismatic World Tour
Manchester: 10,671 a night
Belfast: 9.276 a night
More people attended when the shows were cheaper, which means her last show didn't do what shows are supposed to do: convince people to come back even when the tickets are more expensive. Higher gross because of more expensive tickets, but smaller attendance. If her next tour's tickets are even more expensive, she'll see an even smaller audience. Touring is all about gaining audience so that you can make as much money as possible, and she's not gaining in the audience front.

It did. I don't think people realize how much her X Factor performance ruined her reputation in the UK. X Factor is one of the most popular and watched shows in the UK so for her to perform at the finale with an extremely bad performance right before announcing her tour is about as unlucky as she can get.
Hopefully since her tour is getting good reviews people will start to want to see her again in the UK or she can at least stop going overboard with her performances there and start focusing on her vocals.
