I guess I should have prefaced that by saying "alternative or real rock band", because Maroon 5 is definitely not one of those anymore.

I think they are more alternative than say a Nickelback but I do get what your saying. Hmm I really can't think of any others.

fun.'s success has been amazing. You can't argue that "Some Nights" isn't a hit.

I am still baffled by the fact that the very basic One More Night topped the Hot 100 when the other deserving and more superior one, Payphone, stalled at #2.

These things are always about timing, it's almost the same case for "Part Of Me" and "Wide Awake"

"Payphone" was blocked by the cultural phenomenon, "Call Me Maybe." "One More Night" just had perfect timing. That, and that Taylor song is still not available for on-demand streaming.

No reason to be baffled, since, as already mentioned, "Payphone" was #2 when the biggest song of the year was #1. No shame in that.
(As an aside, I absolutely hate "Payphone". But that's another tangent entirely. )

Congrats for Maroon 5 having their best era, their last era? That's kinda sad but oh my God, they are enjoying this type of sucess, it's so amazing
Taylor still has one of the biggest smashes of the year, WANEGBT I mean, did better than our expectations! And still strong, it was just a stupid label move
Whistle is like done and like doesn't mean a contender for the top, 2 weeks is really enough, it has peaked on all the three components so I see it decreasing more soon
Some Nights, it's the first time I see this for an alternative band in so many years.. I don't know, I don't remember pretty well the last one, but none can deny Some Nights' success, I mean, it's BIG! Not one-hit wonders.. Probably this song of course is not bigger than their signature hit but they have kept their momentum and that's impressive
Lights still impressed me, really, one of the biggest smashes of the year for sure.. 13 weeks in Top 10 so far, cool Hopefully she doesn't become in One-Hit Wonder, she has potential
P!nk did it I'm glad for her, "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" is maybe not her best song but it has done so good, it didn't flop for sure
As Long As You Love Me new peak, although I want it to go to top 5 but sales are not helping too much
Everybody Talks saying bye Oh well, Amazing track!
Alex ready for sucess, I don't see him topping the U.S. but for me it can go top 3/5
Good Time's longevity
Clique WAS SO CLOSEEEEE!

Almost It was just the sales, sales are really cool for Ellie, I mean, 3 million and it's gonna end selling 4 million for sure, that's BIG! But she had sold all those copies before!
