Now for the first bonus track to be kicked out!
48. Lady Gaga - The Queen
Overall Score: 5.119 Highest Score - 9 (1x)/Lowest Score - 0(3x)
Not bad at all. The production, like a lot of tracks on BTW, feels unfinished - almost like a demo. The structure could be tightened a little bit, but I get what she attempted to achieve.
It seems most of you all didn't.

why this hate of BTW album?
and why do u say that btw songs sound like demo?. The songs have got a better production than all albums in 2011 (except Biophilia, i think)

But not this one.
50. Lady Gaga - Americano
Overall Score: 4.787 Highest Score - 10 (1x)/Lowest Score - 0 (1x)
I asked for it, and I got what I wanted. Funnily enough, relistening to this song for the first time in months, it's not as horrible as I remembered. It still doesn't do what it sets out to do, and sounds the most like the manifesto of a cokehead, but it's been upgraded from a #3 to a #4.
|
Fair. I gave it like a 5,5/10.

And now, for the song Chemist thought would be ousted first.
49. Britney Spears - Big Fat Bass (featuring Will.I.Am.)
Overall Score: 5.13 Highest Score - 10 (5x)/Lowest Score - 0(3x)
I ... don't get why everyone hates this song. Is it the best on the album? No. Is it the worst? With absolute trash like Drop Dead Beautiful and Gasoline still here, not by a long shot. It conforms to everything the Black Eyed Peas do, but doesn't much of the album do the same to fit in today's Katy/Kesha Top 40 world? And, at least Britney sounds energized on the track. I gave it a 5.
|
So unfair, not even Britney stans know the true here. This song is epic and y'all will deal. I gave it a 10.

I heard this song for the first time before the rating and I enjoyed it a lot! I think my rate was between 7 and 8.

I wouldn't have put it this low, but I can see why other people didn't like it.

I had the exact opposite reaction. I thought I was coming around on it, and it was so much worse than I remembered. Most of the song is just completely unlistenable screeching.

I think the biggest problem is that it's kind of sonically dim and low-energy (at least, until that breakdown section), which makes it feel a lot less compelling. It works better in a live performance setting with accompanying visuals than it does merely as an album track.

Good list so far, even though bfb has grown on me, it's still mediocre and americano was always trash, there are far better songs on the album.

The first of my many heartbreaks.
46. Lady Gaga - Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)
Overall Score: 5.25 Highest Score - 10 (1x)/Lowest Score - 0 (1x)
I was HU's lone ten, and let me explain why: Yes, it does sound like something Poison would have recorded. But it is maybe the album's best anthem. Truly euphoric, and reaches higher moments (especially that middle 8) than almost anything else on the disc.

4 had the best rankings, then Born this Way (had some really high and some REALLY low), then Femme Fatale (most middle of the pack).

That seems to be the consensus opinion, as Gaga has four tracks out so far.
But she's not responsible for #45.
