Anyways, UK Top 10 just seems random and arbitrary, since a song only needs to make the Hot 100 in America to be counted, but has to make top 10 in UK to be counted. If anything, the song should have to go #1 in France to be counted because they're picky and we would only get high quality songs.

I suppose you could argue that, as an American artist, it's expected that you will chart on the Hot 100, so anything that was a hit abroad but not at home is significant enough in some capacity to be considered anyway.
But I feel like it's really at the discretion of the host. You need to find a balance between completeness and feasibility.
