Well, if the rest of your friends are all Britney stans that hate Lady Gaga, it might be the problem.
I'd say the sales over the course of these six weeks prove that there ARE INDEED many people in the general public interested in the song.
The fact that it managed to beat E.T. this week is just amazing.
No need to downgrade Katy's accomplishments imo, 4 consecutive #1 singles from 1 album is impressive, no matter how you spin it. But so is 6 weeks @1 after debuting there. Gaga and Katy are both slaying, I don't see why some people have to get so mad
