Mixi:Well, we'll see if the #1 on the Top 40 Best Reality Star & Non-Singer lists is correct. Right now we'll get into this list. Here's the nominees for Best Rock Song of the Year.
Stephanie:Before we get into that, we'll tell you that a stunner happened at the MWC Awards show. Britney Spears, Lady GaGa and Krystal Meyers dueled for Best Dance Song Of The Year and Krystal by a small margin edged out Britney and GaGa with Make Some Noise. Congrats to Krystal Now we get to the nominees. 20 nominees here, credit Youtube and the people who uploaded these videos. The artists get most credit because they actually did these songs.

SORROW
*Lacey happily stunned*
WINNER:Flyleaf "Sorrow" (Best Rock Song)
Lacey Mosley was literally speechless. 'Wow! That's incredible. We beat them all, but we couldn't do it without their inspirations to us and we have to thank our fans so much. You guys rock!' Well, they hit #1 twice for good reason. Congratulations Flyleaf!
RUNNER-UP:Skillet "Rebirthing"
Ben Kasica, Korey & John Cooper credit Lori Peters' long-lasting determination to help propel Skillet to superstar status on the MWC. Now with Jen Ledger on the helm at drums, they are poised to turn 2009 into their personal sanctuary of domination. But can they do it?
THIRD:Slipknot "Psychosocial"
Not a bad 2008 for them. Their first top 30 hit ever on the MWC, they scored their first IDRL smash, they won the award for Best Rock Artist and they finished 3rd for Best Rock Song with Psychosocial. Corey Taylor was thrilled that he was able to bring Slipknot back into the picture.
Mixi:Way to go everyone BTW in 20th was Mana getting zero votes. Ouch! Break time, here's a performance from Belinda. First though, she has a speech prepared. Credit whoever posted it.
Belinda:Sorry for not coming sooner, I recently fainted and would like to say I'm perfectly fine but we'll see how I go. Anyway, I have to thank my fans for making my 2008 so historic. Your Hero was a blast, If We Were a great dance song that finished 4th in the Dance Song Of The Year category here, among others. I am so happy and I hope I'm #1 on the top 100. If not, Natalie Grant deserves it. And please do not hate on me because I'm a gifted singer and I am blessed by my friends and family and I have to thank The Lord too for making me be who I am. Stay blessed! See you guys later
BELINDA "ANGEL" (LIVE)
Mixi:Belinda will actually return to help with Best Pop Song Of The Year a little later on. Sharon will stay with us for a bit longer and up next, Parvati Shallow and the Best Reality Star of the year Award. Also the top 10 Big Brother moments of 2008, don't move.

I should point out, the Best Actor race was not even close. Heath had a whopping and you won't believe this...97.9% of the votes. Keep in mind that all the people who were in the audience for my personal chart and request countdown shows have all seen The Dark Knight at least twice by now.
He would definitely get my vote for Best Actor if I had to choose. I was shocked myself at the % he had, but well-deserved. May he forever R.I.P.
Sometime this week coming up I'll go into more detail about it and we'll look back at the people who have left this great Earth. Everyone from Heath to Caylee Anthony

I am thrilled and honored to be on Mike's list. Well I hope you enjoy my song in this video. Take care, keep rocking and keep The Lord in your mind.
3RD PLACE:Keesha Smith (Big Brother 10) - 433,150
Keesha stood out very well in Big Brother. She had to take a lot of heat from April for instance, but Keesha held her own and won a few HOHs. I was impressed with how she played. Keesha:Actually, I'm somewhat disappointed. Some expected I would win this award, but oh well Thanks for the 3rd place love everyone and enjoy my piece.

Mixi:With permission from her, our next guest will grace us. Here she comes, Miss Brigitte Stavaruk! Credit of course goes to Youtube and Google.
*plays So Do I Say Sorry First*
Brigitte:OMG Shoes! Oh...hi. My name is Brigitte and you may know me from Big Brother 8 Australia. Let's rock and roll with 20 and 19 and after that, we'll show you the top 40 International Songs of 2008. No mates of mine from down under in 20 and 19, but these are 2 songs you should know by now. Kicking off the top 20 is this Country songstress and it gives me great pleasure to introduce this girl too.
NOTE:We'll also compare last year's top 20 to this year's. Also, I suggest you watch these videos if available to see why these songs are so deserving of being here.
20. Carrie Underwood "All-American Girl" (Carnival Ride) USA [2,000 pts] Peak:1@1 <#82 MWC> (149,206) [Airplay:#7]
This is her 3rd song on the Endchart and for the 2nd consecutive year she makes top 20. Before He Cheats was #16 for the 2007 Endchart and All-American Girl ends up #20 for the 2008 Endchart. She did manage 39 shows on in 2008 which isn't as big as the others we've seen on this list, but her Airplay was stellar at #7 and her Fan Support was #5. This got to #1 around early Spring and maintained herself for a while. In fact, would it surprise you if this was the song from Carnival Ride that spent the fewest time on and still managed #1 and nearly 40 shows on? Probably not. This video wasn't your typical video, it's a bunch of shots of her sporting Job Occupation attire from Football player to Firefighter and from Schoolgirl to Policewoman. Brigitte:I will admit that this is my least favorite single from her CD, but she is awesome. Love to see her in concert. EXTRA:Carrie has had 2 #1 hits on the MWC, Before He Cheats and All-American Girl.

LYRICS:
Since the day they got married
He'd been praying for a little baby boy
Someone he could take fishing
Throw the football and be his pride and joy
He could already see him holding that trophy
Taking his team to state
But when the nurse came in with a little pink blanket
All those big dreams changed
And now, he's wrapped around her finger
She's the center of his whole world
And his heart belongs to that sweet, little, beautiful, wonderful, perfect
All American girl
Sixteen short years later
She was falling for the senior football star
Before you knew it he was dropping passes
Skipping practice just to spend more time with her
The coach said, hey son what's your problem
Tell me have you lost your mind
Daddy said you'll lose your free ride to college
Boy, you better tell her goodbye
But now, he's wrapped around her finger
She's the center of his whole world
And his heart belongs to that sweet, little, beautiful, wonderful, perfect
All American
And when they got married and decided to have one of their own
She said, be honest, tell me what you want
And he said, honey you outta know
A sweet, little, beautiful one just like you
I want a beautiful, wonderful, perfect All American
Now, he's wrapped around her finger
She's the center of his whole world
And his heart belongs to that sweet, little, beautiful, wonderful, perfect
All American girl
All American girl
19. Katy Perry "I Kissed A Girl (Rock Remix)" (One Of The Boys) USA [4,041 pts] Peak:1@1 <#25 MWC> (150,296) [Airplay:#21]
I prefer the Rock version over the Pop. Katy Perry jammed on for 53 shows while singing about kissing a girl and enjoying it. Well she didn't rub anyone the wrong way, she got to #1 once and was also one of radio's biggest hits this year. Her follow-up which we saw at #47 in Hot N Cold has also done well, so now she has a big deal to match in her 2nd year coming up. Will she match her 2 monster hits? I think so, IF she chooses the right singles. This was a very popular song too as it became a monster single and hit #1 on the hot 100 and spent a long time there. She plays guitar really well and is one tough girl. She shouldn't be remembered as the I Kissed A Girl lady, she should be known for being a versatile singer. Brigitte:I love this song. You can't help but dance to it. It's catchy! EXTRA:Katy is very dangerous and she will be in the Song Of The Year Award race.

LYRICS:
This was never the way I planned
Not my intention
I got so brave, drink in hand
Lost my discretion
It's not what, I'm used to
Just wanna try you on
I'm curious for you
Caught my attention
I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it
No, I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter,
You're my experimental game
Just human nature,
It's not what,
Good girls do
Not how they should behave
My head gets so confused
Hard to obey
I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it,
Us girls we are so magical
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent
I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it
Brigitte:Nice set there Mike. Now we have that Natasha/Delta duet. You'll only get it here at the Endyear Awards
*Natasha & Delta perform "In This Life/Chasing Cars/Believe Again" medley*
Brigitte:Now, usually after a song performance we break right? Wrong. Here's a look back again at #20 and #19 of 2005, 2006 and 2007. Enjoy
----------------------------
TAKEN FROM 2005:
20. Anna Nalick - Breathe (2 AM) [665,141] (-9,142)
First of 2 top 100 showings from her. Very solid on the charts and WMP. This is one of the best and most moving videos of the year.
19. Anna Nalick - In The Rough [666,541] (-7,742)
Combined, Anna spent 5 days at #1 on IDRL and 4@1 on MWC. Nice job Anna. She is the 2nd best new artist of 2005. I promise you, she will have a top 20 showing in 2006.
----------------------------
2006:
20. Sugababes - Red Dress [live] (MWC:#62 <1,080, 1@1>, IDRL:#20, AIRPLAY:#20) (769,358)
Could very well be my most underrated and underplayed song of the year. This is unprecedented for the Sugababes. An incredible 8th appearance on the endchart this year which I believe is a new record and not surprisingly, it's their #1 hit Red Dress that gets it for them. When this was the first #1 of the summer on MWC, nobody thought this would be a monster hit. Well, the girls proved that they know what they are doing.....despite the abscence of Mutya and the arrival of Amelle. (Sugababes break the record for most appearances by an artist ever on the endchart with 8)
19. Girls Aloud - It's Magic [live] (MWC:#67 <1,046, 1@1>, IDRL:#19, AIRPLAY:#19) (769,369)
Mere points separated the top 2 girl pop group songs of the year once more. Sugababes did it last year, Girls Aloud does it this year. It's Magic was not a single but was probably the most powerful UK song, and also the most unpredictable. One minute it was #1, the next it fell hard. Never expect common ties with Girls Aloud.
-----------------------
2007:
20. Juli - Dieses Leben (#8) (1,103,356) (MWC:#82, IDRL:#17, AIRPLAY:#18)
OK, I know Juli didn't have a high MWC rank with this song compared to others.....BUT, Sugababes in 2002-2003 anyone? Juli's impact did what Sugababes did for the Sugababes/Girls Aloud rivalry and various other International bands. This song however was the start of the Foreign Language song train. Dieses Leben also had a great video and was red-hot on my airplay chart for 8 months. Hit #8 on the countdown, spent a long time on the chart and left its mark for artists like Christina Sturmer, Tokio Hotel and Belinda. This band is from Germany if you're wondering and they scored the #20 song of the year for their country.
19. Hilary Duff - Stranger (#2) (1,256,321) (MWC:#46, IDRL:#15, AIRPLAY:#20)
Everyone expected Hilary to be on the end-chart, few expected she would be this high with Stranger that never hit #1. This had a ton of airplay and stayed on that list for 6+ months including 1 time on top of the daily airplay chart. Also hit #2 on the countdown and crossed the 50 show mark. Winds up the #19 song of the year.
-------------------
Brigitte:Interesting Mike. Nice OK, break time again. We'll rock to Ashley Tisdale and All That Remains, next!
