You just said it, that's the exact exhibition of Lady Gaga's newer edge. Its simple yet gibberish, novel but insane and most certainly, the commercialism of Gaga's combined eccentricity and corporation-inflicted marketing. It just so happen that MOST are being gullibly drawned to Gaga's compulsory 'monster' approach but hey, it works!

i agree.. GAGA PURPOSELY MAKES YOU THINK.....we all know she's a very smart person (outside of music as well) but she writes in a way that makes poeople who actually listen to lyrics think.....

like when she says "i want your horror/ leather studded kiss in the sand/ revenge.... she's basically saying i want your negativity/drama/ cheating/rock-star relationship/verbal or domestic abuse but in a way that allows you to interpret that for yourself...

it's a lot easier IMO to say i literally want you to abuse me/ yell at me/ make me cry, etc.... she makes it interesting

though in all irony im actually hoping for atlesat one song on the new albulm where she truly lets her voice and a simple beat(or piano) carrry the emotion like rihannas new single, basically keep the theme, save the red-one uptempo club vibe (honest eyes? bleeding love?) either way "THE MONSTER" is going to be huuuuuuuuge......

I respectfully agree with you but still...meh. I think it's insulting that she has the audacity to cite classic horror movies and Europe as inspirations and all she delivers is a cursory, exploitative, and half-baked concept in return. I wasn't expecting anything intellectual, I was expecting something worth the hype though.

And being a "co-writer" of your hit songs really says nothing of an artist's credibility anymore *Ms. Knowles wave*

her song Speechless, which is about her father will be a ballad. She's also saying it's her best work yet.

They like RedOne's infectious dance beats and melodies, they don't really pay much attention to the lyrics.

yes! songs like Poker Face wouldn't be as epic if they didn't include catchy words and phrases. But, yes there is more to lyrics as well.

The only song she wrote independently on The Fame was "Brown Eyes" which is coincidentally the least popular song on the album.
