While it's true that this isn't an "innovative" release method, it's still a FREE album from Rihanna. She's not really losing out on much. Best thing being that we enjoy the benefit of listening to her album for free. She still has an opportunity to release singles and music videos as she pleases as well, so it's not like the BEYONCE era where everything is set in stone as far as music videos and such.

No. You should delete the songs, and redownload them and put them back in iTunes. It sounds like your songs didn't download correctly. Make sure your internet is working alright, sometimes bad internet connection can corrupt song downloads.
