Britney's tours have always consisted of a female-dominated audience. That's the entire concept behind "Femme Fatale".

Her gay fanbase is large online, but they are actually outnumbered by casual, female fans.

I can tell you have never been to a Britney concert after reading your post. EVERY concert Britney has ever done, the females outnumber the guys by a large margin. While online, you may see a heavy stan presence by gay males, in person, girls make up the majority in the crowd.

Britney's casual fans are most likely 70% females. People give the gays too much credit sometimes (no offense to you all); girls always outnumber the boys at Pop events no matter how big of a gay icon that artist may be. I'm sure it's the same way for Gaga, but I can't vouch for that theory since I never attended one of her concerts.

I think this is a good time for Britney to go to Asia and Latin America. She's never been there, they will all obviously buy tickets at whatever high prices just to see her.

She's toured too much in North America over the past 2 years.

It's true. The demographics would have to bear it out, females make up a much more significant portion of the population than gay males. It just seems like guys are more in to the competitive aspect of things, no matter what their interests are? Not sure how much truth there is to that, just my own observation.

So.. most of Rihanna concerts are mostly female and she still sold out. As long as Britney's selling out, it doesnt matter who's turning out as long as the tickets are sold out.

I think where females and gay males differ in stanning is the gender of the artist. You'll most likely find a healthy portion of females and a high amount of gay males stanning for female artists (especially Female Pop stars). For most girls and some gay males, they'll stan for male artists.

Boybands and solo male artists such as The Beatles, N'SYNC, Backstreet Boys, Usher, Justin T., Justin B., Jason Durlo, etc are always heavily stanned up and down for by females. I mean, I remember being called a "teenybopper" all the time back in 99 and 00.

I think it also depends on what genre you prefer as well. Rock male solo or group artists have a predominately straight male demographic.
