Country music industry is highly sexist to be honest, the males country singers are constantly praised, played, selling steady, the females.. well unless your Taylor Swift and have a million teen followers.. your not going to sell as stable. Look at poor Miranda, Four the Record was so hyped up to be the country album of the decade,
which it still may
, but I don't think it even crossed 500K. It's hard to be a female country artist and expect huge sales weeks every day.
Then again the country industry has always been sexist.. So these sales for Carrie aren't terrible at all.

How many copies has that album sold?

Actually FTR is just a boring album. She needs an album like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend with that promo

Thing is sexist may not be the right word..
But a lot of hard go country listeners would rather buy a Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson or Zac Brown Band album over a Carrie Underwood album. It's just like how in the pop world most of the biggest names are females and you rarely see a huge male pop album come out.

Yeah I get what you all mean by that. Kenny's album has sold 944k as of today. And it came out over a month after Blown Away did.
As for Miranda, I actually love her new album a lot. I saw her in concert a couple months ago and I enjoyed it, too.
+54% for Blown Away?!?!?!? That is awesome And Good Girl is doing better than I expected. I figured it would fall fast since it shot up so fast.

Good Girl has been really stable which is nice, around award show season we can probably see a boost of it when she wins all the awards.

I need need Carrie to perform and win at them all
@Blownaway, I know what you mean. I'm not from an English speaking country, especially grammar is quite hard for me..
And really?! Kenny Chesney's album is doing better currently? When did he start selling so many albums? that getss me pressed, lol.
But yeah, a good thing about being a female country artist is more chances of crossing over (unless your hardcore country like Miranda).. But I agree with you all that said that country audiences would rather buy albums by male artists. I mean, most females that listen country radio want to hear guys on the radio, and most men that listen to country radio want that too (I think I read that somewhere). So we should be happy that Carrie is one of the lucky 3 that can still get number 1 hits. It's ridiculous, though.
And yeah, Miranda's album has sold terrible so far, especially after it was so hyped. But if the industry is gonna hand out millions of awards to her again, I can see it increasing like Revolution did. Although that album had THTBM.

Me too I feel jealous with English native speakers

Just like with pop, most people prefer buying a female album
