Anyway, Acquainted is alright. Wasn't really a fan of that album as a whole, he really improved with Starboy.
Sorry to confuse you!

New Romantics is obviously a slay but I preferred it more before it became a single.
Also I'm kinda fine with it having a tour video because I went to the tour so it's nice to relive the memories, same for Speak Now. Fearless and Red can go
So did I, tbh.

I think you placed "Formation" correctly. I can't possibly take someone giving it a number one.
I love it, but it certainly isn't my favourite track of 2016.

To be perfectly honest with you, I was not particularly excited for Britney's return, especially after Britney Jean. However, I still gave this track a listen and I'm so glad that I did. "Make Me..." is a slow, sexy and sultry sex jam. The chorus is seriously alluring and the way Britney croons over the simple production is perfect. G-Eazy is not particularly necessary but he doesn't bring down the song at all and his Dangerous Woman shout out is cute . Overall, this track is outstanding. A kii about the original video never being released though.
This track holds sentimental value to me. It was the first track that introduced me to the brother/sister duo. I heard it on the radio while driving, remembered it, and when I got home, I listened to more of their music and I was amazed. "Free" is a synth pop anthem for self-expression and the production sounds defiant, giving a feeling of liberation and freedom.
#28: Ariana Grande - "Side To Side" ft. Nicki Minaj
This song is so devilishly cheeky and fun. The production is reggae-leaning which is a nice change for pop radio in 2016 and its message is pretty clear (pleasure after praying to Jesus Christ, our lord and Saviour ). Ariana and Nicki sounds super sexy on this track. They always have great chemistry when they collaborate and they are seriously hot in the film clip
Starboy is a welcome comeback for this superstar. I love how while it sounds like he is boasting about his wealth and stardom, there is a certain level of apprehension about how all this fame will affect him, leaving him fragile and nervous. The song sports some seriously cool production and the film clip is sensational.
I cannot possibly say enough nice things about Troye Sivan (so luckily, he will be charting again ). He has had such a profound impact on my life which I might go into a little deeper later. This song, which is the third part of the Blue Neighbourhood trilogy, tackles the very unfortunate topic of LGBTQIA+ suicide. I'm a pretty thick-skinned person, but damn I would be lying if I didn't say that the story of the trilogy didn't leave me a sobbing mess. The orchestral and melancholic production perfectly suit the theme of this song and the video is extremely emotional.
Whenever Drake and Rihanna pair up to record a track, you know you're in for a treat and "Too Good" is no exception. They have such chemistry between them and they harness it perfectly. Whilst probably my least favourite of their collaborations, it is still fantastic enough to land at number #25 and I sincerely hope that they continue to work together in the future.
This track took the world by storm. There was a point where we seriously thought that it might knock off Mariah to take hold of the most weeks at #1 on the BB Hot 100. This track is an instant classic and Halsey sounds so great on this. It already sounds nostalgic and the beat is infectious. Gosh, I'm getting giddy just writing about it. But mess at the lyric video having almost 10x the amount of views as the official video
