I don't know how I got to Trey Lorenz's solo album from like 1992 but Mariah did a TON of backgrounds on it. She's on like every track. She's pretty prominent here, the climax and her belts slay.
I don't think it's gonna be easy being a lamb this Christmas.
Hard times have been on us for a couple years; 2013-2014 being the absolute worst since 1999-2003. More **** is coming her way.
I just hope she's doing well.

RIGHT! I even showed 2 of my friends the full live mic feed, and they said she was actually sounded good (this was the initial stretch of the song tho. )

I've come to a point now where i've accepted Mariah for the mess she can be, she's never going to change and we all have to accept it
Mariah's problem is that she needs to come back to earth and realise her voice isn't as good as it used to be and needs to change the songs she does live to suit her and her voice better, she won't do that tho because she still thinks it's 1997

I cannot imagine how Mariah is feeling right now. I truly hope everything is OK with her. I'll hate it if she's even sadder after all the bad press about the performance. I mean, the album flopping, divorce, bad tour opening, and now this?! This is not her year at all.
The worst thing is that the people LIVE and THRIVE to degrade or insult Mariah. It's absolutely disgusting.

Exactly! Why can't they (her team, her friends, Mariah herself) come to grips with reality? Why can't they see that she needs to reinvent herself as an artist and a vocalist? It's about damn time! She needs to gracefully transition into her "older" phase and breathe life into her career. On top of that, she needs to record, perform, etc songs that COMPLIMENT her current range and vocal situation.
It's sad because I know she cares. I love her as an individual (from what I know of her life and from following her) and as an artist. I want the best for her......this has nothing to do with commercial/critical success but more to do with her happiness and personal fulfillment. I've long accepted that Mariah is reaching a point of no return. Regardless, I'll still be here till the end.

It's not a good performance and the struggles she was going through to reach the notes was embarrassing to watch but yeah, it wasn't her worst performance. Her 2013 one was even worse. At this point, the media is in a frenzy over Mariah and they will roll with all the bad publicity (opening tour vocals got a huge amount of press but the improved vocals got little to none). I really do hope she's okay.

The media does to everyone though. They like to have one poster child and one individual they punk out (i.e. Beyonce is typically a poster child whereas Bieber is punked constantly, whether he deserved it or not).

Mariah is such a good songwriter she should go the Sia route where she's a songwriter that makes good albums that aren't mainstream but let her have fun with her vocals.

I think one of the main problems with Mariah is that her entire team are all YES people are too afraid to tell her no
I agree 100% with her needing to reinvent herself, that doesn't mean she has to stop making pop music but she NEEDS to stop trying to appeal to the younger crowd because it isn't going to work and NEEDS to be told she needs to completely reinvent herself
