Roger Friedman just confirmed that Adele is not behind the theme for Spectre because she is planning a fall release for her third album: http://www.showbiz411.com/2015/06/04...ng-for-spectre. He added that while he couldn't confirm who the artist was, Sam Smith was their top choice this time around.... Ugh, I hope the song flops miserably if that's the case.

UPDATE: I Tweeted them to ask where their information came from, and this is the response I got https://twitter.com/showbiz411/statu...28908046417920..... I'm well aware who confirmed it, I want to know where THEY got the information from. Because if they didn't get it from her team, then there's no guarantee it's true. I don't know how he found out "Skyfall" was coming out before it was officially announced, so, I mean... I don't know. It's probably true, but there's no guarantee.

That's possible! It actually might be more likely than them collaborating. And honestly, if they worked together, I'm fine with it at this point. I love both of them, but I never thought them collaborating together could work. But I have faith in them. Ideally, it'd be nice if they wrote together but didn't do a duet together, because I don't know that that would work.

There's been some activity on Adele's BMI recently. They've added "Never Gonna Leave You" to the list of songs written by her finally: http://repertoire.bmi.com/title.asp?...erytype=WorkID. (It was previously only under "Adele Watkins," but now it's under both.) It's probably nothing, but it would be cool if the recent activity on her BMI was implying something.
