Lena takes over BBC Radio 1
WORD COUNT: 2081
German's Lena Meyer-Landrut has been dropping singles and albums since 2010, and even though she managed to get them to peak in Top 2 in her country, she never received any kind of global success due to her not being promoted outside her country Germany where she is signed to Universal Music Germany. With few hiccups along the way, it seems as if it's the perfect time for Lena to break away from her country Germany and break out in bigger industries like America or United Kingdom. After it was announced that Lena had signed a global deal with Universal Music and Indigo Records in United States and United Kingdom, and once you connect the dots, you can understand everything pretty clearly - Lena has been working on her new album non-stop since she got signed to her new record labels, and that is February 2014, her new record labels are going to do everything in their power to help Lena launch her career and make it as successful as possible, and she's been working with huge names in the industry like Max Martin (Bang Bang, Problem, Shake It Off), Swen Meyer (Stardust, Neon (Lonely People), Better News), Eg White (Therapy, Lover to Lover, Once), Paul Epworth (Yellow Flicker Beat, Rolling in the Deep, Black Beauty), Emile Haynie (Born to Die, Life Goes On, Guts Over Fear), Dan Auerbach (most of Lana del Rey's Ultraviolence album). It's still pretty unclear with what kind of sound Lena is going this time around, but it seems as if it's going to be something like pop indie rock, which is still pretty hard to imagine Lena singing, since the first single that Lena released from this album called Trouble is far from being a mixture of pop, rock and indie, as it's more pop, without any kind of rock or indie influences, but maybe that's the only song on the album that's going to be like that - completely pop, or as Lena described it during her latest appearance on German TV show Schlag den Raab - pop with a clear and simple sound. However, even if it's still kind of unclear with what kind of sound Lena is going for this time, it's pretty obvious that the album that Lena is currently recording somewhere in the world is going to be really good and might end up being on The Year-End Lists when 2015 ends, because the people that are reportedly involved in this project are all known producers who have at least one hit produced under their belts.
Lena confirmed that right now, she is currently mainly focused on recording her new record and that she's really busy with that because she has to travel from country to country to finish this up, because all of the producers that she and her executive producer handpicked are all touring or working in different countries and cities, and it's pretty hard for Lena to catch them all inbetween United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Australia and other countries as well. And besides all that pressure that she gets from recording her brand new album, Lena also has a Max Martin and Eg White produced single, which was released few days ago on January 12th via Indigo Records in United States and United Kingdom, Universal Music Germany in Germany and Universal Music in the rest of the world, to promote, and according to the reliable sources from Lena's record label Indigo Records, her promotional tour campaign and plan is just huge and exhausting, because Lena has to appear on about ten different TV shows, show up to ten different events and do a lot of other crazy stuff in a week, so that's pretty tiring and scary, but it looks like Lena is really enjoying it all and she is just pulling herself together for all of these things that she is currently doing in order to achieve the things that she's been dreaming of for a long time. Although officially Lena's promotional tour started only today, but actually, it started in Germany a week or so ago, because she pre-taped an appearance for German TV show Schlag den Raab, where she performed Trouble for the first time ever live and also sat down with her longtime mentor Stefan Raab to have a nice conversation about her new album, single, her upcoming plans and record label. The show with Lena as the guest aired on Germany's national TV earlier today, and Lena's single Trouble shot right to the top of German charts reaching the number one place right after she performed it. It's not a surprise that it's suddenly so successful in Germany, because it seems as if Germans were thirsty for her new songs and anticipating Lena's new material, but that's understandable, because Lena hasn't released any kind of music since late 2012, when her third album, titled Stardust, was released, and this is the first time in about two or three years Lena is releasing new music. Also, her new song is really catchy and it's probably fun to dance to or fun to singalong to it, so it's not that shocking that Trouble is now at number one on German iTunes. It's pretty unclear where the song will end up at on the charts at the end of the week when charts come out, but it should peak at number one in Germany when it's all said and done, because there are hardly anyone right now who could block Lena from the top and no one bigger than Lena in Germany is releasing this week.
Earlier today, Lena arrived in London because according to her promotional plan, she has to appear on some TV shows and do some promotion in United Kingdom before flying off to United States for her grand American TV debut. It's not the first time that Lena's here and and Brits know Lena pretty well because of her song that she won Eurovision with back in 2010 in Oslo, and Satellite - that's the name of her song - reached number thirty on the charts here in UK, and also, her song Stardust was also used in ITV's advert back in early 2014 when she had signed a record deal with Universal Music and Stardust kind of bubbled a little bit on the charts somewhere around Top 60 and got played on the radio a few times, so it's pretty understandable that Lena has few fans here in UK who decided to come to the airport and personally greet Lena. Even though it looked like Lena was rushing to go to BBC Radio 1 studios in London, she still stopped to talk with her fans, signed their CDs and pictures that they brought together with themselves, signed their T-shirts or whatever merchandise that they had and gladly agreed to take pictures with every single of them. Lena is a smart woman who understands how the business works, so it's not a surprise that she knows that could boost her single sales, and the main key to chart high on the charts is to have a huge and dedicated fanbase who would buy her songs and albums, and the best way to build a steady fanbase is to be nice with every single person that comes up to her, sign everyone's CDs and carry around few extra sharpies incase her fans come up to her, and also to keep in touch with them on social media and from time to time answer their tweets and messages. After her flight and after she greeted all of her fans, Lena decided not to rest at all as she immediately went to BBC studios somewhere not so far away from the airport where she took over the BBC Radio 1 for one hour to premiere her new single Trouble for the first time ever on the radio, to give an interview on the most important things that are happening right now in her life and also to perform on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
During her BBC Radio 1 takeover, Lena played her new single Trouble for the first time ever on the radio, and the host of the radio show confirmed that a lot of her Lena's fans have been flooding BBC Radio 1 notifications on Twitter, asking them to play Lena's new single on the radio. Lena was kind of surprised to hear those type of news, but she was definitely happy that she has fans that are holding her back and helping her out with this thing and her promoton. She also talked with the host of the radio show about a lot of things, including her new album, her new single, the promotional campaign and the things she will do to improve her chart positions, her favorite artists and other things as well. After the performance, Lena also went into the Live Lounge studios, where she performed two songs - her own song Trouble, and she also did a cover of one of her favorite songs right now which is Style by Taylor Swift. When she had to name her cover choice, Lena also commented on why she decided to cover Style: "So for my cover I'm going to do Taylor Swift's latest single Style, which went number one few weeks ago, and I think it's an amazing song, it has that throwback-ish kind of sound that makes you think of 80s or something like that, it's really dreamy, it sounds amazing when you're driving in a car, and it makes you want to dance, like seriously, when you're sitting in a car for example, you can't just stay still once this song starts playing on the radio, if you're not into this type of music, you're still going to bang your head, mime along to the words, because it's so catchy that you can't just stay still throughout the whole song. And I really adore Taylor, I met her once when I was in the studio with Max Martin, she's a really sweet and amazing girl. So, this is my cover and it's Style, originally by Taylor Swift. I hope you like it. I hope I won't ruin it now because we haven't rehearsed it yet, this is my first ever time I'm performing this song, and it's such a masterpiece and Taylor sings it so well, it would be a shame to ruin such a good song." Both of these performances were amazing and they sounded really nice, Lena's voice sounded good, her voice was strong and confident, and she seemed to be more confident during the performance of Trouble, not only because there was no audience this time when she was singing, but also because they probably rehearsed that song before they got on BBC Radio 1, not like the last time when she performed Trouble on Schlag den Raab without rehearsing it. The performances of both of these songs were aired on BBC Radio 1 live, and also got uploaded on the official BBC Radio 1 website and YouTube channel and they both were viewed more than 200 000 times in just six hours.
INTERVIEW:
Host: We have a really special guest on our show today - it's none other than Lena Meyer-Landrut, who is better known for her first name Lena. She won Eurovision Song Contest back in 2010 in Oslo, and her debut single Satellite reached number thirty on the charts after she won the contest. 5 years later after she won the competition, Lena is ready to conquer the world with her brand new single Trouble and her forthcoming US debut album and fourth overall album which is supposed to come out... when? Can you talk a bit about your new album? Because I couldn't find any kind of information about your album on the internet to be honest.
Lena: There are no articles on my upcoming album just because I'm still recording it and I'm not sure how I'm going to name it or when exactly it's coming out. As of now, we're about seventy percent done with the album, we have to record few more songs now, then we will have to mix it all, then we will have to pick out the date for it, then we will have to figure out everything about the promotion, and then the most pleasuring part which is photoshoots and picking the coverart and the title and everything else.
And they talked about other things as well.

Christina releases lyric video for Amethyst Bleach
This morning, it has been reported that Christina Aguilera has released the lyric video for Amethyst Bleach which serves as the third single from 8th studio album Truth Pill. She has previously released a lyric video for her second single Chrysalis; a duet with famed Icelandic musician Bjork. In the past, Christina hasn't truly utilised or taken advantage of these lyric videos but now it's become apparent that it is a fantastic way to boost Christina's streaming which is definitely a large aspect of the charts nowadays. The lyric video which consists of the audio from Amethyst Bleach with its lyrics scrolling past was uploaded onto her official VEVO page amongst Christina Aguilera's other videos, such as the infamous music video for controversial lead single Dirrty back in 2001. It seems as though lyric videos have been increasing and increasing in popularity and she now plans to take advantage of this like many other artists have done in more recent years. The lyric video has been gaining momentum ever since it was released a few hours ago with it being shared and circulated all around social media. Christina Aguilera's social media game has definitely elevated the voice of our generation's career to new heights and has raised her profile in areas and communities where she's probably not as known compared to her core fanbase. To be fair, we do applaud Christina on taking the initiative to do something about her free falling career and the Internet could be the key to all her answers. It's been said that Aguilera takes on full responsibility for her VEVO page because she's acknowledged how important it is to keep up to date with that side of things. She is a perfectionist in everything that she does, after all. According to a source extremely close to Christina's management team, there are many future plans to create more lyric videos in the future which could also include the album tracks that aren't given the spotlight as much as the singles might. This would infinitely bring more awareness to the fact that Christina has released an album - Truth Pill - in order to make sure that no one's missing out on new material from the blue eyed soul singer. The top searched results on the infamous search engine Google that correlate with Christina Aguilera are mainly The Voice based and things she has done before in the past. Not to mention her various social media accounts (such as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook etc) with her official website popping up. Having said that, nothing that Christina is currently doing now shows up first which she plans to change with this new era. It was announced yesterday that Christina Aguilera will be partnering up with Amazon for a mutual business deal. This could grant Christina a lot of power as to what is shown instead when typing her name into Google. The process is still in the works as of now although ads are currently being put in place for Amethyst Bleach's lyric video. That is a great step forward for Christina!
In the actual lyric video itself, there is a wall which is vandalised with a blood like liquid that has a very sticky consistency. The words are carved into the bloody wall with jagged points and an occasional lock of platinum blonde hair passes through the frame. It's all incredibly whimsical and incorporates various elements of stunt cinematography where ambience and how everything plays out is a key factor in the lyric video. The lyric video for Amethyst Bleach varies greatly from the lyric video for Christina Aguilera's second single - Chrysalis - which was a gleeful duet with Icelandic musician and Aguilera's labelmate on Catalyst Fall Records; Bjork. She is also gearing up for her very own era which will launch next week upon the release of her 9th studio album which is yet to be named. Amethyst Bleach's lyric video is extremely well put together and crisp. It's been alleged, but not confirmed, that the lyric video for Amethyst Bleach was compiled and directed inclusively by a bunch of interns who are specialised and are studying media in University. Christina apparently issued them this project in order to gain work experience and give them a chance in today's world. This was extremely generous and giving of Christina and we can assure you that she too was very much involved and invested a lot of time and work into the process of producing such a stellar piece of work as this lyric video for her third single. The lyric video uses a "stitched together" technique as well, meaning that it's all directed in a very stop motion animation style although not quite that. This technique is gaining a lot of outside support from those who dabble in the film making industry. Christina is a definite pioneer of it and will be the first time this "stitched together" technique will be used in the mainstream.
The lyric video for Amethyst Bleach aims to garner a lot of attention and attract much interest from those who are otherwise still oblivious to the fact that this song even exists. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that Amethyst Bleach will only ever keep increasing in popularity over the coming days since it was already performed numerous of times before during the release week of Christina Aguilera's experimental 8th studio album Truth Pill - executively produced by the respected Paul Epworth who has worked with Aguilera twice before. The industrial pop track - Amethyst Bleach - is doing respectably well on radio as adds go up today. Christina has already scheduled to meet with a quite popular radio station tomorrow so look forward to that! In addition, expect this song to be blasted everywhere as Christina starts to take over most of the nation. Even though Amethyst Bleach's lyric video is just that... a lyric video, it's been reported that the introspective and gritty lyric video will be treated like a music video and will be broadcast each and every hour on all your favourite music channels such as MTV. This will start to take effect by Friday and it will be seen taking effect, not just in America, but also on a worldwide sense especially in selected areas of Europe such as the UK for example. Aguilera is actually focusing a lot of her attention on a global scale which will be more prevalent in weeks to come.

TS & JB X JIMMY FALLON
(885)
Taylor Swift’s impact and success in the music industry has been undeniable in the past few years. After her majorly successful album ‘All At Once’, many though the singer-songwriter couldn’t possibly grow to be any more successful, that how successful she was in that moment would be the most successful she’d ever be in her career The unexpected would happen as Taylor would then proceed to make ‘Coven 13’ and ‘Electric Princess’, both studio albums of Taylor Swift that would launch three number one singles each, an extended play of the rerelease ‘Coven 13’ being accountable for one of ‘Electric Princess’ due to the eras being so close to each other in the time of release.
As late as Taylor is in her career, approaching the ten year mark now, a decade, many expected Swift’s success to not decline but proceed to be constant, favoring longevity like an established artist like herself would do. But it seems to be that Taylor Swift’s career is growing to new heights not only in her blossoming acting career but in her music career as Taylor Swift would score the highest first week sales of her career with her brand new released greatest hits album, ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’. The album would open with over seven hundred and twenty thousand copies, an all time high for the singer-songwriter who’s been no stranger to constant openings in the four hundred thousand area.
The success caused a storm of congratulations to Swift’s social media accounts, the singer’s record label Tigerlily Recordings, along with all those involved in the making of the album. Swift had yet to comment on the success until today when the singer-songwriter stopped by in New York City where she was today for an exclusive appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon with Justin Bieber.
The two last night officially announced that their collaboration ‘Too Good To Lose’ would be the new single from not just Taylor’s greatest hits album but Justin’s as well. The two would then instagram a picture of them together, a dozen or so suitcases behind them in a terminal with the caption “we’re going to be traveling together for quite some time.” The picture would immediately get over one million likes in just the first two hours.
Fans would await the two biggest forces in music outside the studio where Fallon is filmed. They’d sign autographs and take pictures with fans as long as they could before the two would be escorted inside by bodyguards to get ready for the show. Appearing on the show first for an interview, Taylor wore a gorgeous little dress and Justin was decked out in a very casual yet formal ensemble that really showed off his handsome features. The king and queen of pop (cal) looks very stunning side by side as they were interviewed on numerous things. One being the new single they were releasing.
“Taylor and I had been sort of reconnecting after a little bit of distance. She’d been out there killing it with Electric Princess and I was really just busy focusing on music and my personal life. We’d talk but it’d take her awhile to get back to me because she always promoting or filming. But like a month ago we really sort of started hanging out more. That’s when the song was really created. She asked me to hang out with at the studio. She played me the chords for the first verse and from there we really just wrote the song. No other producers or writers. Just us two with our guitars for the rough cut. The final we called in the amazing, Dev Hynes.” Justin told Fallon about the process of making the song.
“The success me and Taylor have gotten with our Greatest Hits records is crazy. Not expected at all. We always appreciate the work the fans put in when they go buy the music and come to the shows. They’re real devoted and we love that about them.” Justin spoke before Taylor would add on. “They’ve been growing up with us. We started from such a young age and so when you make an album, you’ve got to give them something special. They’re not your fans, they’re more your family, you know?”
The last thing addressed was their schedule travel wise for the next few days. “We’re pretty all over the place. Taylor’s touring while promoting and while she does that, I’ll just be chilling with Vanessa at the show backstage or watching her perform.” Justin would look over to Taylor who would give a smile. “Me and him literally have a schedule set up. We have to get up at the same time every morning, we have to be on the same flight, same hotel and stuff. But it’s going to be really nice I think. Justin’s like my brother. He’s got Vanessa to keep him company and I have Simon, so. I think all’s going to work out well.”
With that Taylor would conclude the interview with some new information about the song along with confirmation that she and her boyfriend Simon Nessman have rekindled their relationship. After that, the two would perform a stripped down version of ‘Too Good To Lose’ which is out now from both of their certified greatest hits album.
TAYLOR & JUSTIN X GOOD MORNING AMERICA
720

Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber have established themselves as not only artists in the music industry buy as icons. Already, the two singer-songwriters have sold over three million albums and ten million singles, making them some of the best selling artists in the history of music when adding in other sales of some of their other songs and album tracks. The two forces in music have been ruling the music charts as of late, trading places from last week where Justin was number one on the albums chart and Taylor on the singles charts, the two topping with Justin’s greatest hits album and Taylor’s single from her’s ‘Style’ ( the song remained at a number four position this week, scanning over 900,000 copies). This week, Justin would top with his track ‘Memphis’ and Taylor with her greatest hits album. The two would be two of the best selling artists this week, each selling over one million copies of singles and albums combined.
The two would release their second ever collaboration, entitled ‘Too Good To Lose’, a track that was written by Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber alone, and was produced by friend and fellow producer to Taylor, Devonte Hynes (“Blood Orange”). The finalized version, the product of the recording session would result in one of the most commercially and critically successful songs of both of the young stars’ careers. Immediately following Bieber’s album release, the song managed to sneak it’s way into the top five on iTunes. The song has lingered in the top 20 ever since and has found it’s way into the top three, inching closer to the top spot of the chart as the song is receiving promotion as it’s now the main single. Prior to an appearance and performance at Fallon that day, the two friends would stop by for an interview and performance of the song on Good Morning America, where they’d too give performances of ‘Memphis’ and ‘Style’, both of which have went number one. But before the performances, the two would be interviewed by Robin.
When speaking about what the song meant to them and what inspired them to write it, Taylor would answer first. “Simon and I had really been suffering some tension at the time. Me being constantly on the road was really damaging our relationship. I know I say it’s pretty gruesome now but it was really bad then. I was sleeping four hours every day before being pushed into an interview and performance. I was killing myself. He wanted me to take a break, to put my health before my music. That it was the right thing to do. That the fans would understand. I remember being so angry at him when he told me that, it’s stupid of me now, I know, but I felt he was just using that as an excuse because he wanted me home with him. That was he was keeping me from doing what I loved. So I wrote the song.” Taylor would then look at Justin who would really explain what the song was about.
“The song really is about the really intense fights you have during a relationship. I know Taylor’s had them and I know I’ve had them too with Vanessa. They’re what keep relationships alive but at the same time they can be what kills them. Taylor told me it’s sort of a risk you have to take to keep things going and I agree. So the song really was about those moments and really we were the feeling the same thing at the same time. Our schedules really can strain our relationships with the people we really love. This song really just serves as a reminder that you can’t lose this person they’re too important to you, but at the same you’re too important to them too. I think it’s a really honest and heartbreaking yet beautiful song.”
Justin and Taylor would then take the stage to perform ‘Too Good to Lose’ both dressed in black. Taylor wore a tight black dress and Justin wore a very black casual yet formal suit, switching out his usually street style of clothing for something a little more chic and fancy. The pair’s greatest hits albums are available now alongside the collaboration which is expected to be a very successful song.
TS & JB X ELLEN
802
The release of the second singles off Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift’s greatest hits records, ‘The Collection & More’ and ‘Yours; The Greatest Hits’ has caused much buzz in the music world. Justin and Taylor, two of the biggest artists if not the biggest artists in music right now have teamed up for a second time on a song that critics say put their first one to shame, overshadowing the strings and piano of ‘Time After Time’ with the new song’s sultry synths and pounding R&B influenced snares and drums. The track ‘Too Good To Lose’ was released off both of their records and was serviced to radio this week and will be promoted the entirety of the week by both Justin and Taylor. The two will promote the song together, traveling in a personal jet with their special ones for a promotional tour of sorts. Before the two jet off to Europe for some overseas promotion the two will make a few stops in the United States for a little bit of television and radio promotion. The two would make their third stop today in Los Angeles for a special appearance on The Ellen Degeneres show, where they would be interviewed and would later perform the iTunes chart topping song towards the end o the program.
In their interview the two would talk not only about the collaboration, recent success, and other random things, but they’d talk about Taylor’s love life along with Justin’s. They’d also talk a little about the goals they have set for the song that’s set the iTunes charts on fire with an almost thirty percent lead over the number two song, which we can not identify at this time.
Talking about his love life, Justin slightly gushed as Taylor watched on with high interest and amusement on her face. Although he was slightly embarrassed by the bluntness and frowardness of Ellen’s question, he answered honestly and positively. “My love life is really nice right now. I’ve got a beautiful woman I can call mine, a woman who’s not only gorgeous on the outside but the inside too. It’s a joy getting up every morning, doing what I love, (Taylor would raise her brows after these few words, causing the audience to laugh at her snide remark inferring it in a dirty way) then getting to spend the rest of the day with her. It’s a great feeling. I think I want to spend the rest of my life with her.”
Taylor’s response would be a little more surprising as the singer-songwriter would talk about her relationship with Simon Nessman, who she recently rekindled her relationship with. “My love is as eventful and beautiful as it’s ever been. After all that’s happened, I’ve realized that what I had is not worth throwing away. That this only made us stronger. I’ve been with a beautiful man for almost a year now, a man who never fails to surprise me, makes me smile, and screams back at me when I scream at him. He keeps me on my toes and I love it. I’ve never been more serious when I say that I think I’ve found the one.”
“I didn’t really ever intend on Justin being on the song. I never intended for the song to really feature anyone. Actually, I don’t think I even wanted the song on the album. It was meant for something else, I think. Either that or it was just going to be a song that I’d keep for myself. Something that I’d leave locked up. Now that I’m releasing it, I’m pretty glad I am. But as soon as I heard Justin sing the melody and the beginning lyrics back to me, I knew there was no way I could keep it hidden and in the vault. The world had to hear this track. It’s probably one of the best songs of our career.” Taylor about choosing Justin to be on the song.
The two would then talk about their goals for ‘Too Good To Lose’ commercially. Justin would speak first. “We really have high hopes for the song. It’s one of our best so we’re going to really try and promote to the best our ability and make it big for us and our label.” Taylor would follow it up with a little more detail. “I think it being number one would be amazing. But you know as long as it scans platinum and really goes down in being one of our best and most memorable tracks in our discography, I’m happy.”
The two would the perform the song and an image would be displayed of it’s single covers and would eventually transition into pictures of their greatest hits albums which are both out now along with the song in stores.

TS & JB X THE VIEW
757
Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber would make one of their final stops for promotion in the United States today by visiting The View for an interview and performance of their new single ‘Too Good To Lose’ along to promote their greatest hits albums ‘The Collection & More” and ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits” both of which have went #1 with over five hundred thousand copies sold first week and have spawned one number one single each and it seems to be that two from the records couldn’t be impossible.
The two singer songwriters would arrive around eight in the morning to start their interview and performance, both dressed formally in black, Taylor wearing a a dark red dress that had a brown leather belt around her waistline, defining it. She wore some brown heels and served a Misty Day out of Coven teas with a slight Stevie Nicks style with messy hair a sunhat that suited the ensemble perfectly. Justin would wear something similar, taking on a new indie alternative like vibe type of style with a plaid long sleeved shirt with a undershirt and a pair of pants. The two both looked extremely well in their outfits and came off likable and really intelligent in their interview with the The View cast. They sat at the table for about fifteen minutes for their interview talking about various subjects such as their greatest hits albums that both have been massively successful along with their recent number one singles, their personal lives and more. The two even addressed stuff that’s been circling about for their upcoming studio albums.
“Our greatest hits albums have been doing really well. I remember just a couple of days ago when the charts were released, that I got a phone call not from my label but Taylor’s label saying I was number one. I found that really weird yet amazing at the same time. It was amazing because I was like “whoa, they really do care about me and you know genuinely are looking out for me. I sort of had a joint deal with them for a little awhile last year while my label was going through a transition in ownership. They’re really like a safe net for me but it was weird at the same time because I was like “where the hell is my label? why didn’t they call?” So yeah, I ended up finding from Taylor’s record label that I was number one. Taylor apparently didn’t answer her phone when her label called her.” The hosts would look over at Taylor who was blushing in embarrassment. “I was busy, I was on a boat in the middle of the ocean doing something that you really can’t take a phone call during, alright.”
Taylor would then address rumors regarding her next upcoming studio album. First the hosts would talk about the fact that the album Swift recorded in full and is ready for release would be released in the next few weeks, along with a new single next week. Taylor would respond to this and even include some new information about her upcoming album. “You know stuff like that gets out and I can say that there’s nothing but lies in that. I have recorded a full album that may or may not be released, it’s an amazing album, I’m just not really sure what to do with it, just yet. But yeah all that’s false. The next month or so is all about the greatest hits album and really promoting that. But I can say that I’ve been writing for the new album I’m working on. I’ve finished three songs for the record and have really been writing some of the best lyrics of my career. It’s a really different sound for me and I think it’s the one people have really been waiting for. I think the album I’m making now will probably the most mature I’ve released thus far. In my wardrobe these past few weeks, you can sort of see the inspiration I’m drawing to make the record. It’ll be awhile before the world hears it. Its’ all about me enjoying the moment with this record I’m no right now, then taking a break enjoying life and then writing about it for the next record.”
The two would then proceed to perform ‘Too Good To Lose’, giving an amazing vocal performance of the song, giving the song an even bigger lead over the number two single and boosting their album sales with ease up on the charts.
TAYLOR & JUSTIN X KELLY & MICHAEL

Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber have been all over the world promoting their brand new single ‘Too Good To Lose’ which has managed to top iTunes charts worldwide. Both artists have scored a number one single and number one album this month and are planning on continuing the success after stopping by Kelly and Michael today for an interview and performance. In the interview they talked music, Taylor’s tour, the tabloids, and their personal lives as well with random stuff like food and fashion.
Justin would talk about his greatest this record and mostly about his upcoming plans in music after the underperformance of his last album ‘Crossing Paths’ which has already been overshadowed by his greatest hits record. “Following the last album, I knew I really had to do something different. The last album was successful but it wasn’t as successful as I think people had planned for it to be. Many factors played into that but I think I really at the time just wanted a break from the music industry, to take a break and just think about what I wanted to do next in my career. So I took that time. The fans were really supportive even through that time so I was like ****, I’m going to do a greatest hits record. I have like over twenty top three singles, it was about damn time I released a greatest hits record. I remember Taylor something similar during a studio session right at the end of the Crossing Paths recording process when I asked her to hear the album before releasing it.” He’d then address whats coming next for him in his career. “Right now, I’m not really sure. I’ll probably tour for a little, I always love performing for the fans, then I’m uh, I’m most likely going to enjoy some off time for a little with Vanessa then just get back in the studio or something. Not too sure yet.”
Taylor would talk about something entirely different, the singer-songwriter would talk about her love life when asked about the reasons why she decided to reconcile with boyfriend of now a year Simon Nessman after breaking up due to schedule issues. “We’d really been arguing for like a few weeks prior to the split. I think we were both under a lot of stress. I was constantly working, getting things ready for the album, getting ready for the tour. He was all over the place modeling and we really didn’t see each other for quite some time. We both hated it. What’s really strange was, I was able to deal with being away from my special one prior to him but ever since we got together I hate being away from him. It’s terrible. But uh, eventually his schedule cleared up as soon as I released ‘Style’ the single and had to promote it. He traveled with me most of that week. We started arguing after discussing something that was pretty deep and serious. I told him that you know if you want to be with me, this lifestyle is something you have to get used to. I’m a global pop star, I have to be somewhere different every day or every week. If you love me enough, and see yourself spending the rest of your life with me, then find a way to make it work. We were both just so angry then that I think it was just the best idea to take a little break from each other. He called me up this weekend to visit him in his hometown and I went. We went hiking and stuff and talked about everything. I realized you know looking out at the ocean and at him, that this was truly all I wanted in life. Him and music. He wanted me too, I was his passion. I couldn’t let that slip away, you know That's the thing with love. When you realize you have something that's really worth keeping, you start second guessing. If it comes back to you and stays, that's how you know it's mean to me. Me and him were meant to be. Why throw that away?”
Taylor and Justin would then perform ‘Too Good To Lose’, serving vocals on a performance that would boost their album sales and increase sales for the song digitally on iTunes.

TS & JB x ABC NEWS
579
Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber have been traveling together all this week for promotion of their brand new single ‘Too Good To Lose’ which has been setting the iTunes and digital charts on fire alongside on the radio formats where it’s completely soared into the top ten on pop radio, rhythmic radio, hot adult contemporary, and urban, where the song entered the top fifty just as an album track amongst it’s release alone. The song has already reached an audience impression of fifty million, becoming one of the fastest climbing songs on numerous radio formats in years, making it not only Bieber’s but Swift’s fastest climbing single on radio ever. The song shows no signs of slowing down as it’s still getting massive updates of almost seven million audience impressions gains and over seven hundred spin updates a day just on the pop radio format. “It’s one of the biggest collaborations we believe in history. Radio is really jumping on the song along with fans who sent it to the top of the chart on iTunes with almost a seventy percent lead over the number two song,” said a writer at Billboard who predicted very well that the song would most likely go number one, marking Taylor’s tenth number one and Justin’s twentieth or twenty first (no one is really sure)
But first the two would stop by for an interview and special performance on ABC News, where the two would make the nation’s biggest news program about how the two have almost revived the music market with their incredible sales for their latest releases, greatest hits records ‘The Collection & More’ and ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits.’ Speaking about his greatest hits album, Justin talked about the success and how he expected some success but not the massive response it got. “My label and I talked about the album promotion schedule and stuff for some time and we expected maybe a three hundred thousand opening or something like that but we didn’t think it’d go gold first week. Then do a second week where it’d out do it’s first week sales. It gave me the best first week sales of my career, twice. That’s real crazy. The response to the album has been incredible. I don’t think I can really repay the fans for this. It’s not even a whole new album, y’know?” Justin’s gratitude caused many viewers to tweet about how happy they were for him, stating it as his official comeback following the massive underperformance of ‘Crossing Paths’.
Taylor would answer a question that would regard future singles along with her plans for the next year or so. “I have a few songs to choose from to be singles but there’s one song that I think I’m gonna have to release. It’s one of the covers. Every time I listen to it, I find myself getting lost. I lose myself completely. It’s one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard to. Either way both of the covers on the album will be released as singles. Then one of the other songs, most likely. We’re definitely going to make the greatest hits or ‘Yours’ era last as long as we can.”
The two would then take the stage to perform ‘Too Good To Lose’, giving one of if not perhaps the best vocal performance of the song to date. Bieber’s album ‘The Collection & More’ along with Taylor’s ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’ are available for purchase now.

When the week ends, I'm going to calculate points without article length first, then compare to how it is with article length bonuses. If the difference is massive, I might add up the total points gained from article length bonuses and divide it a tad.

Yeah. I also gotta remove like 3 artists from Sheezus' list. I'll update that all today.
Anyone else got a roster change that I haven't put in place?

Cara performs at the MIDI Festival
720 Words
The MIDI Festival is the biggest music festival in China and over 90 thousand people attend it on a yearly basis and only gets some of the biggest acts in the world at the moment. It's an amazing way to promote your music, albums and singles combined, but it is limited to the best in the music industry. Cara obviously received an invitation to perform at the festival and her label gladly accepted as it's a huge opportunity for Cara, as usually the sales jump to selling thousands more copies then usual reaching hundreds of thousands of albums sold within the week of the festival.
Cara's perofrmance was announced a few weeks ago and since then Chinese fans have been talking about it for weeks and they day on which Cara was performing was completely sold out. After billboards were also set up promoting Cara's album and her appearance at the festival, Cara has been selling a lot better and the boost is supposed to increase even more with the performance.
Cara first appeared on stage wearing a blue dress to perform the single 'Magazine', which was her debut single and reached the top spot all around the world on various charts including in the US, France, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan, China, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Brazil and more and on the worldwide charts. The performance made the whole crowd cheer and jump as they sang along to the lyrics.
"Wow you've got a lot of energy, keep going you are amazing!" Cara said right after 'Magazine' ended and her album track 'Fur' started. The song is featured on her album 'Distant Horizon'. More songs from the sophomore album followed including 'Excessive', 'Once' and 'Kiss To My Heart'.
At this point an interlude played and Cara changed outfits. She now was wearing a red leotard with long sleeves and a black see through short kimono-like cape over it. She started singing 'Fall Out', another track on the album 'Distant Horizon' which features the rapper Jay-Z, who filmed a performance of his verse in a dark room showing only he's face. At this point Cara sang a song from her debut called 'CARA' the song titled 'Naked' which features Rihanna. It was followed with newer tracks 'Corset', 'Too Much is not Enough' and 'Hot&Drunk' but she also sang 'Explicit' which was the second single from her debut. "Thank you for being so supportive, to thank you I'll let you choose the next song, as long as it's not one of the singles!" said Cara and suddenly various voices started to scream song names from Cara's albums, 'Distant Horizon', 'Priceless' and 'Behind Closed Doors' were said many times but 'Like it Like That' ended up being chosen as it was loved by most fans equally. Cara Delevingne started singing the performance and she got into the routine choreography she had learned for the song along with two dancers. The performance was simple but tasteful.
After another interlude, Cara came out wearing a simple white overall with multiple accesories such as a pearl encrusted Chanel sunglasses and pearl rings. Cara sang 'La Belle', the huge smash single which has been in the top 3 ever since the release worldwide and peaked at #2. After the whole crowd rapped along with Cara, Cara chose to perform the song 'The Rise' which remained not very known by the public but one of Cara's own personal favorites.
To close her performance, Cara performed the hit in the making 'Honey' which received a great reception by the public which was attending the festival and is considered one of the highlights of the show. After the show, Cara was followed by hundreds of fans while she left the venue and stopped for a few autographs and posed for pictures for her fans before getting into a guarded SUV as it was rumored many people attempt to jump to the SUV to try to get a look at Cara, as she was loved by many in China.
Cara Delevingne's performance was praised by critics who loved Cara's charisma, dancing skills and impressive voice and recommended readers to purchase Cara's new album. 'Distant Horizon' is now available and don't forget to check out Cara Delevingne's single 'Honey' also out now, which also is available for streaming on Spotify and Youtube.

I'll make the roster changes in a bit.
And I decided in favor of the past articles helping, but due to them being old, I'll be taking a fraction of what they would've gotten you if they were used in the present week.
