Previously on Round 7 of Survivor: ATRL Edition (All Stars), Round 7 had a mixed reaction from the judges as well as one judge missing. Round 7 kept Team Dylan on top for the 2nd time in a row. Team Zaid landed in the Top 2 for the 2nd time this Season while Team Ray was sent to Tribal. In the end, MusicLoverDude was sent packing. What will happen this Round?
Welcome to Round 8 of Survivor: ATRL Edition (All Stars)! Only 3 rounds until the Merge...
The theme for Round 8 is...
R.I.P.
For this Round, you will each PM me a song about losing someone (death related) and it's effects. It's a very simple thing to find. I thought it would be a nice thing to do after the last two rounds. You all finally get a break (for now). There's nothing too specific to this round. It's a song about losing someone that was close to you and dealing with missing them as well as the hurt. The whole theme is easy as a whole so you better bring it if you want that high score. Songs that are growers aren't going to work. You need a song that captures attention first listen. Don't blow this. It's really not difficult and can really help out those embarrassing averages. The judging will be more strict even with good entries, however, the theme is easy so it all balances out.
Your first example is "Slipped Away" by Avril Lavigne off her album Under My Skin.
Next we have "Bye Bye" by Mariah Carey off her album E=MC˛ .
The Deadline for this Round is June 23rd at 10 A.M. U.S. Pacific Time
Good luck to you all once again. Remember, the 2nd post of the thread has all the links you'll need.
Once you submit a song, it's final. Back up choices aren't too necessary at this point in the game.
Personally, I'm gonna be looking for songs that are not the typical, predictable choices. Y'all are welcome to send in bands and artists that aren't regulars in the mainstream charts, they have songs that deal with this topic, too, and since you can't really miss the theme this round it's a great opportunity to show some diversity and be refreshing.
WAIT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I READ THE DESCRIPTION AND IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT "BYE BYE" AND THEN IT APPEARED IN THE EXAMPLES. AND NOT MY FAVE'S ONLY SONG ABOUT DEATH BEING TACKED ON THERE, TOO.

There are better songs than the examples, Collin.
I have faith in you to pick a great entry.

It doesn't have to be pronouncedly about death of a person though, like my song is more about the death of the relationship even though it can be interpreted also as a death of a person
