10, Adele is entirely overrated. While she is vocally talented, the style of music she sets those vocals to is boring, bland, and monotonous, and I would not like music that sounded like that no matter who was making it. Bleh.

Someone Like You in particular sounds the exact same all the way through, like someone looped a 30 second clip into a full song, the word monotonous can't be used enough to describe that song, she never ONCE does anything to change up the vocals or piano, it sounds the same throughout.

Well, the style of Pink isn't much diverse either.

You said the monotonous sound of the piano (turning table also) , I agree on that, but the greatest musician of all time J.S.Bach used repeating sounds also to achieve a certain kind of intensity, it worked for him and it work for Adele.

Most of the successful songs are simple constructed like Hey Jude, Smells like teen spirit, Smoke on the Water, but I don't think it's easy (and therefore overrated) to write something simple and be at the same time successful.

0 Adele is amazing. It's not her fault that she is overplayed on the radio.. Turn it off? Duh. I LOVE her personality her songs are so "us" I can't describe it. It's refreshing to hear songs like hers when most of mainstream radio is recycled rap and pop crap. I hope she slays yet again and for now, Skyfall is my jam!

Are you kidding me? Her entire first album was R&B, her 2nd was pop/rock, with some being R&B tinged pop/rock, her 3rd album was very rock, almost ditching the pop, for IND she ran the whole gamut, with acoustic songs, some of which sounded countryish, pop/rock songs, an r&b ballad, a reggae song, generic radio bangers like UUH and CIC, then on Funhouse she had OFW which was bluesy, piano ballad, an acoustic song, Mean which was countryish/Aerosmithy, and now on this record she has more pop/rock, an acoustic ballad, a piano ballad, an R&B song with some electric guitars, a song that literally sounds like it was pulled out of the 60s, and much more.

Her main style is pop/rock, but to act as if she doesn't have at least one song from just about every genre is silly.
