The first season was great, but AMC ruined it by firing the original director and getting all the rights to the show. You can tell the huge difference between season 1 and the rest because they've stretched out the storyline and made it really uneventful just to rake in more money. Frank Darabont had a lot of cool ideas for the show that we will never get to see.
That's why I stopped watching it.
