Kuu's cover album is a mess. I liked the previous one more, especially Megumi No Hito or how it's called. Couldn't find any standouts like that one on it, unfortunately.
MISIA on Tour. New single is on the way, maybe a new TV-tie in again.
Sorry there aren't enough generic dance songs on it for you K-Pop fans!
Are u talking to me and about Kumi's cover album?
I was a j-pop fan way before I started listening to k-pop so you're argument is invalid. I didn't mean Kumi to add dozen of "generic dance songs", but adding half of the album bland and boring ballad and mid-tempos is not good either
BoA slayed me today with this performance. The vocals (actually live) and dancing slayed. Her best "Only One" performance to date. Glad to see BoA back where she finally belongs and her true home.
My fav "album" of Koda Kumi's is probably JAPONESQUE & Best Third Universe (best album + 8th album UNIVERSE)
And if we talk about that kind of heavy and dark songs....hmm...
* Ayumi Hamasaki - Microphone
* Koda Kumi - Driving
* Koda Kumi - FREAKY
* Perfume - FAKE IT
...hard to choose..something..dark and heavy...
I like Taboo. I am living for that chorus.
In the music video for 'Microphone', I thought that Ayumi was going to smash the guitar, not hand it to the guy to play, . I really like the verses of that song, but it sounded kind of OK, nothing extraordinary. I understand that 'Microphone' is from the album 'Rock'n'Roll Circus'. Does that album have a similar dark sound? If so, i'll check it out, and hopefully i'll like it more than Next Level which made me have nightmares about Teddy Bears getting injected with Ketamine and swimming in pink milkshake lava in a room disgustingly painted in bright colors.
I am happy to see more Koda Kumi on this list, I think that she might be overtaking Namie Amuro to become my favorite J-Pop girl, although Namie is sexier.
'Driving' has me in tears. This is the Scheiße that I like. I cannot wait to finish this school assignment so that I can remove my headphones and play this on full volume on my speakers. I need to be able to bop freely, and unrestrained around the room. I love this song.
'Freaky' is alright and is a nice song, but fails to knock me over, and quite frankly sounds empty considering the song that i listened to right before this.
Perfume's 'Fake It' didn't give me a good feeling inside. It's the same feeling you get when you get off of a roller coaster after having eaten way too much cotton candy. I could keep an instrumental of this, but their voices sound kind of clue. At 2:17 it completely deteriorates, and this is where I will turn it off. But maybe if I give it a second listen i'll like it, but I just don't like the vibe that it's giving me.
I will check out UNIVERSE + BEST. I'm already liking 'Can We Go Back'.

Not more Ayumi. Anyway, these are definitely the better of her songs that i've heard. My favorite out of these three would be Marionette. Did Santa try to hand her a condom in 'No Way to Say'?

Thank you once again J-Posse for your recommendations.
I do appreciate it very much. Now I am going to evacuate. 'Till next time!
