No, those numbers are not fine! #6 in the UK is not fine, when the movie has to
rely on heavy international sales.
In the US, it is pretty much dead, and won't hit 40 million. It's at 35 million and made 1,5 million last weekend. It is losing screens and is out of the top10.
It has to earn about 18 million overseas, just too break even on the paper. Than it will have to earn some more millions to cover marketing.
It probably would have to earn at least 70 million ww to recoup its costs and that is generous (there are people, who think marketing costs of movies almost equal production costs in some cases).
I am NOT a hater, but it is very simple:
earn back your production budget = breakeven
earn half of your budget on top of that = recoup marketing costs
everything above is proft.
And right now, Burlesque will have a hard time making a good profit at the international BO.
