Unpopular opinion:

Season 1 >>> Season 2


I like the characters more this season, but the by this point in season 1, we had four major characters deaths with actual impact. So far we've only had Jake. The hotel dude, the nameless cop, and Branson don't count. I wish the writers would have the balls to start killing off important castmembers. If someone big doesn't die next episode, the show kinda deserves to be cancelled. I just hope Willa, Bex and Carlson especially move on to bigger and better things.

Sorry for the delay, I ended up not even heading home after all until much later than I expected. Here are my thoughts and a pretty non-spoilery breakdown. I mostly refer to things that happen in the episode in vague ways, but don't explicit give away any deaths, details about major plot points and developments, or major reveals. I am going to refrain from posting any real outright spoilers for this last run of episodes, but if you'd like to DM me for those, feel free!


-There is a lot of tension between Audrey and the entire group; Emma expresses her anger pretty aggressively at one point
-Audrey and Zoe argue with each other over who sent Emma the recording of Audrey confessing that she brought Piper to Lakewood
-The second body in the fire is revealed by Maggie
-Sheriff Acosta grows increasingly suspicious of Stavo, reviewing his recent drawings and revealing something about Stavo's pre-Lakewood past to Maggie
-Emma and Kieran attempt to visit Ms. Lang, but the reaction they get is not at all what they are expecting
-Noah and Zoe finally get some alone time
-Kieran, Stavo, and Emma all break into different places in this episode
-It is revealed that Piper has a connection with another character, and more about Piper's history is revealed
-Brooke learns more about Jake and her father's history
-There is a very Scream-film style party in the episode with guests wearing the Brandon James masks
-There is a death at the party
-2 bodies are discovered, and one is definitely a surprise
-The episode ends with a couple of simultaneous scenes that make one of the characters look very suspicious
-The preview for next week's episode shows one of the main characters getting stabbed outright... I'm assuming it's a dream sequence? If not, then it is a MAJOR spoiler

I'm actually really beginning to like Emma. I like how the writers have given her more of an edge and have ditched that good girl image and personality. She's beginning to remind me more of Sydney from the movies, as she's becoming more distrusting of others and is becoming a bit more of a bitch (in a good way). Her and Brooke have shown the most character development and are both worthy of being the final girl, although I do find Brooke more likeable.

IMO, S1 felt more like a slasher series. This season just feels like a bloodier PLL. The death scenes have been uneventful and few inbetween.


I still enjoy the show, it's just lame how all the deaths (except Jake) have been bit players.

Noah getting stabbed? Really? Probably a fake out, but still. Also what was with that scene between Brooke/Stavo at the end? Did one of them send the tape? I literally gasped when Piper's body was shown. That was a good twist. I have no idea how they're gonna wrap this up
