I didn't get to post a cheesy last message in the PH8 thread. Thank you Lynx for all the memories! I've been working on instrumentals for my songs from the season and I plan on recording my tragic vocals. I'll possibly share them hihi. PH really inspired me in many ways this time around, not just lyrically.
I always write but forget how to sing my own songs. I just don't remember the tunes or melodies very well. How do I fix it? I have a bulk of songs I wrote over the years, the earliest being in 2006, and I can't remember how to sing many of them.
Chorus
We are the universe
Experiencing itself
And as a consequence
We feel its heaviness
You will have moments
Of impossible silence
But you'll never be alone
With my gentle guidance
Verse
I am a little drunk
Even though I shouldn't be
You will likely bring this up
When you are as old as me
While I give you a hard time
As you rush to get older
But honesty comes with the wine
I will mean these words sober
Pre Chorus
You'll break my heart a thousand times
As I've made my own parents cry
While trying to navigate life
I’ll forgive you every time
Verse
When you're young, you'll think I'm wise
And I have all the answers
But you'll discover with time
I, too, can be foolish
I have been where you will be
I am no one to judge
When you stop coming to me
For simple paper cuts
Pre Chorus
I’ll see you through the changing tides
That will confuse your fragile minds
While trying to navigate life
I’ll understand you every time
Chorus
We are the universe
Experiencing itself
And as a consequence
We feel its heaviness
You will have moments
Of impossible silence
But you'll never be alone
With my gentle guidance
Bridge
I sing this to myself
As I sing this for you
I always need reminders
When the fog clouds my view
I'm here lamenting losses
With a drink in hand
Wasting all of my time
A precious artifact
I'm still becoming the man
That you would be proud of
The man I didn't have
To teach me all his lessons
Once you start walking, you begin falling
When you are young, you'll have my protection
When you're older, you won't want me there
But don't stumble on my past failures
Chorus
We are the universe
Experiencing itself
And as a consequence
We feel its heaviness
You will have moments
Of impossible silence
But you'll never be alone
With my gentle guidance
My vocals are tragic, but I will share it anyway. This is Letters To Your Future, my 5th #3 smash of PH8. It's a letter for my kids. Let me know what you think (yes, drag my vocals).

Every step that you take towards me
Is graceful choreography
A complicated language
Pure enchantment
Carnal thoughts flood my imagination
Your beauty must have come from heaven
Attracting my senses
I'm captivated
Reminiscent of sweet adolescence
This impulse is testing my patience
The tension is rising
Within my body
Tell me that you feel it, too
Is fire burning inside of you?
Chorus
The hunger within me is bestial
Brave, bold, territorial
There is no use in resisting you
I'm lured in by your gravity
I am your willing prey
Together we'll explore nature
Confide in me your deepest fantasies
Show me your unguarded fragility
Borrow my untamed heart
Feel me in the dark
Release this angst that has a hold on me
With your touch, bring me back to sanity
Forgive my straightforward ways
Blame these primitive instincts
Bathe in these lonely waters
We'll sink or swim together
Chorus
The hunger within me is bestial
Brave, bold, territorial
There is no use in resisting you
I'm lured in by your gravity
I am your willing prey
Together we'll explore nature
Can you feel my subtle invitations?
Can you sense my hidden motivations?
Keep walking my way
I'll meet you halfway
I promise to keep you safe in my arms
Make my body the place you call home
Chorus
The hunger within me is bestial
Brave, bold, territorial
There is no use in resisting you
I'm lured in by your gravity
I am your willing prey
Together we'll explore nature
Okay, one more. This was written for the Emotions challenge. I had desire. Although it didn't fare well with the critics (I went from 3 to 13 that week and this scored a 7 point something) I love it. In my head it sounded very bossa nova inspired so I edited the lyrics a bit (from the judge's feedback) and gave the bossa nova thing a try. Again, my vocals are like my fave's.

I usualy write my songs while doing the beat, and i record my voice with phone just to remember the idea
Do you wanna play? / You got your game face on, 'bout to face off / I can go all day / With one hand tied behind my back / Can you concentrate? / You look me up and down like I'm competition / But, I had you sized up from the get-go / Now I'm waiting for you to make the call / Let's go
Dragged and critiqued my own first album I ever wrote. Actually helps when writing the 4th.

Appearing out of nowhere with the clichéd, Kesha wannabe song ‘Last Summer’, KFR’s ‘Gemini’ ticks all the right boxes for trashy, disposable pop with the album experiencing highs and lows both in terms of lyrical themes and quality. Listeners are ultimately left with the choice of two paths to follow, as does KFR’s career at the end of this. Indeed the success of ‘Last Summer’ has paved the way for at least one more era to come, but like this record he’ll either stick around with you or sink into the oblivion he writes about.
When listening you can’t help but wonder whether the apparent two sides to Gemini is clever or just an excuse to cover up the lack of cohesiveness the album holds.
Best: Faceless, I Hope You Go, Running Free
Worst: Last Summer, Masquerade
