Diamond certification for Dark Horse is closer than ever!!!
Amazing! 800 million views? Whoa
Does someone know or can find, what are the US streaming points of Dark Horse? Then we can calculate how much close is DH to the diamond certification.

DH had 268m streams in the US in 2014 according to Nielsen Soundscan. Make it 300m including 2013 so it's probably around 9xPlatinum.

But as I said, it might reach 5x Platinum even next week. Either way it's gonna happen soon. And that's impressive, was simply confused with the title as I am following the Australian charts.

I can't wait to see how much DH does with IFPI (which we should be getting in about a month or less). I think their tracking period is the same as Billboard's (December 1, 2013-November 30, 2014), right?
Happy should be #1, of course, but DH should easily slide in at #2.

I think their tracking period is January 1, 2014-December 30, 2014. At least that's the case for albums because otherwise BEYONCE wouldn't have been included in the last year report. dunno  Anyway can't wait to see how much did DH sell. Hopefully somewhat similar like Roar did because it was bigger on streaming (although a bit less global)

I don't think that DH was the 2nd highest selling single worldwide  I hope it will tho  A top5 would be more than fine

But IFPI includes streams now between Youtube and Spotify alone, there's a billion streams for DH.

Because you need to pay for certifications.
Certs are a way to promote music to the public and within the music industry, just like saying "Including the #1 hits" on commercials. If the label already awarded Katy herself during her record-breaking tour down there and it made the news all over Australia at the time, why the hell would they pay for the same cert? To please a random ATRL user bitching about it not being on ARIA site? (this is literally the first time I've seen someone caring about it).
Also (it seems like you don't know) all certs in every country are based on shipments. Even automatic certs systems like BPI's use shipments if the label applies for it (again for promo, there have been many "And it has already been certified Gold before its release" on UK's TV in the past years)

I am fully aware of that. You have to pay for certification, everyone knows that !
How come PRISM stayed 4x Platinum on the ARIA's site for the last 4-5 weeks if it was certified 5x Platinum 5 weeks ago? That's weird as it's being updated each week. That's all I am saying.
Not trying to deny PRISM's success, was simply wondering.
