Please don't compare Hagdonna to Brittany. Hag her alberm did outsell Brittany Jean afterall (granted, MediaTraffic severely inflates Hag her sales but it's safe to say Hag outsold her). Brittany can't even compete with the grandmothers anymore LOL un peu tragique.
Nah, sadly Ellie is just super basic. Not even in the Katy Perry or Taylor level of basic, where they fake their "relatable!!!1!!!" personality, she's just plain boring.
Kinda sad because her music is great
+ she became Taylor's personal puppet. I kinda cringe at the imagination of her sitting there looking up to her and nodding at everything she commands her to do.
Tove Lo is boring, both aesthetically as lyrically. Did I mention musically? She's not in it for the long run. She'll probably won't even reach one album wonder status like Lorde.
Tove Lo is great. Are we really going to complain about her being basic when Taylor Swift is running the game?
'Timebomb' is going to be another smash.
I hope she writes a song for Brinny, when Brinny finally realizes the only way to save her career is to hop on that plane to Sweden and beg Max Martin for his best tracks.
Ellie is such a singles artist outside the UK, she's like the white female Jason Derulo
Well for US she's a single artists rightfully because the fact she was a one-hit wonder her first era, and she didn't get her 2nd hit here til like months after the second album was released. 'Lights' wasn't even a hit til months after her first album was released too I think.
'Burn' becoming her 2nd hit, and LMLYD becoming a 3rd hit before her new era set her up to where she can finally get a lead single as a hit and another hit or two following that.
Tove Lo could be the next Sia in terms of being succesful as a songwriter, she's already shown what she's capable of with Slay Me Like You Do, I sense some fumes in la casa
Tove Lo is Swedish so it's no surprise that she's boring. Most European artists are boring. British & Italian folks tend to have some personality but that's about it. This is not racist, simply objective observations I have made through my years of travel.
