Mariah has sold like 150mil albums but I'm sure that's an inflated number anyways let's just go with 130mil then. 60mil of those are sold in the US, that's about less than half. For a largely RnB artist that's pretty global sis. Also everyone knows AIWFCIY all over the world and she's the best selling foreign artist in Japan, ever.
I can't get over how ALL Max Martin songs during the bubblegum era sounded exactly the same
Same instrumentals, exact same structure (ie: the bridge was always a slightly modified version of the chorus)

She debuted denouncing bubblegum pop and all who are part of it but then her comeback hit was Girlfriend-the worst and most annoying bubblegum trash I've ever heard.
