Two Supreme Court justices have been assassinated.
Julio Roberto plays an ambitious young law student who is dating her law professor.
She hears about the Supreme Court murders and on a whim, she locks herself up in the library for a week writing up a brief on who she thinks killed them. Just for fun. Like an exercise. She doesn't thinks he actually got it right.
She gives the brief to her law prof bf who gives it to his friend in the government who gives it to some higher ups.
Next thing you know, Julio's car blows up (her poor bf was driving it!) and she's running for her life...cuz what she wrote in her brief was true! The people who in the government who killed those Supreme Court justices know that she knows the truth...and they're after her!!!!
She teams up with a reporter played by Godenzel Washington to bring the truth to the public...all while everyone is trying to kill her!
