I think she quit because of that in the middle of her career in the mid-90s and then made a comeback in the late 90s, then stopped playing after 2004 due to injuries.

Her disappearing happened kinda fast, I mean in 2004 she was still a contender playing in the semifinal stages of Grand Slams and then poof, she was gone.

But she has been having emotional and drug abuse problems throughout her whole life. I feel kinda sad for her, though quite a few tennis fans seem to hate her because of some recent comments she made on Twitter about Serena + she was kinda an obnoxious bitch when she was still playing.

She hit the big time really young, she was playing grand slam semis aged 14 and **** like that. Like some of our fav pop gals, the early success got to her and she started using drugs. She fell away for years but had a huge comeback in 2001, snatching AO and Roland Garros and SF at the other slams.

She had no weapons and relied on heart to win matches. Can't quite forgive her for mopping up an exhausted Hingis at the AO after Martina beat both Williams back-to-back at their peak.

She's a legend tho honestly she was killing it at a young age making deep runs at slams and all that..

Her comeback from substance abuse and AO/FO wins were epic. To say she had no weapons is false, she was a power player and had strong ground game and she was tough as nails. A bit of a hot head and a drama queen, which made her interesting to watch. The WTA is missing her brand of players

I'm not even trying to shade, just saying that no particular shot of ha's was the strongest. She was a huge hot head and won some hardcore matches with her heart alone. The longer the point went on the more likely it was that Capriati would win.
