I don’t see why people are so mad at none of these songs being the single. Like she’s literally immersing the general public in her new era through 4 great songs, and on top of that she’s still gonna release a killer single. People will know the music more than just 1 or 2 pre-album singles, and if they like it, they’ll have incentive to buy the album, which is good for sales. She used the internet with Bow Down/I Been On to hype, then she used commercials of popular brands with Standing On the Sun and Grown Woman, and she’s even using an anticipated movie’s soundtrack for a cover so people will know that she’s back. She’s yet to release a single, but she already has enough hype for her “comeback” to sell really well.

On another note, I don't really want Bow Down/I Been On to be on the album. I hope it's just a hype track or something. Standing on the Sun is a masterpiece and I hope it's a future single. A snippet is already slaying me.

I agree. These snippets have created hype for the album more than the Superbowl or having a single. The more she teases, the more we want! It is great for album sales!

I've been to H&M today and it was such a great feeling, seeing those huge Beyoncé posters in the window's. omg I was such a proud stan in that moment. plus the collection is way bigger than I thought it would be I will deffo buy a couple of clothes from the collection next week

I know.. They drew it out so much on the radio too.. Not necessary to repeat "Beyonce, Andre 3000, Back to Black, Gatsby" like 10 times. and then to be like "this is the full version" right between Bey and Andre. It made it have bad flow.

That being said, I liked it. Looks like I was right that Beyonce took a slow approach like Fever (Heat Version) without much extremes in her vocals. I wish she had a crazy finish though. Oh well.

With all these songs, even though they're snippets, it should result in her highest first week sales, regardless of how much the press have loved to attack her since the inauguration. Combined with her tour and the the caliber of songs we've heard, this album will probably be her best selling, when it's all said and done. Imagine what she has up her sleeve, for her not to have picked the song she feels is best to start the era with.

If I had to guess though, I think she's going to surprise everyone and have her lead single be a mid-tempo power ballad with an indie flair.
