Jackie and 20th Century Women are not really contenders here so stop iT. Though it is really surprising to see Silence miss a nomination here, and for something like Hacksaw Ridge This seems like it will be a failure for Scorsese, but I'll wait until DGA and PGA to decide.

I was told Jackie had flashy editing . A lot of people thought 20th Century Women could get in too considering its editor was nominated a couple of times before. ATRL does not really talk much about precursors so perhaps you should check other forums (ie AW) and see the receipts!
