It's not just about the music imo, it's her image and persona. She hasn't been fun in YEARS. Everything since Born This Way has been with a "serious" message and stuff. Even on interviews when she's asked about her fun stuff like the meat dress, her outfits and everything, she has to say that it all had a 2nd meaning and leave all the fun away.
Kii, I'm satisfied with all this tho, but I think that has played an important part in this whole mess tbh. She needs to stop caring a little and just have some fun. The sad part is that ARTPOP is almost all party & fun but the GP will never see it because her image & message is just too powerful
When a non-stan person thinks about carefree fun music, Gaga is the least thing that would cross their mind right now I assume.
