Roar is a smash just because of that chorus.
The verses are just icing on the cake.
According to early reviews, it's one of the worst tracks on Prism which is the most exciting part.

It was certainly a love match between Jennifer and the writer Jonathan Van Meter, who profiles her in this issue ("Star Quality," page 790). Jonathan e-mailed me directly after he met her, brimming with excitement about her wickedly funny sense of humor, and I certainly heard the same from those who were with her when she came to the Costume Institute gala this past May. She had no end of irreverent and joyful fun that night, whether it was swapping her half-eaten dinner for Marion Cotillard's untouched plate
Can't blame Katy and Gaga for going with safe pop candy. We all saw what happened to Legend X when she released the darkwave industrial song Your Body.
She shouldn't had lighten up that darkwave anthem with her pink dress in the video that was too disturbing for us as Goth fans.
Robin still has a HUGE lead on pop bars and his song is crushing at radio.
Katy won't be #1 for at least another 3 weeks imo, that's if she gets there.
And if Robin performs at the VMAs, it's a rap for these girls, I know Gaga can get big opening numbers but it's hard to compete against a massive song when you put all of your **** into one pot in one week.
Video/Song/Performance/Streaming, it's a win or lose.
