I just realized why Sansa changed her hair out of the blue ...

She didn't really reveal her real identity to the world yet, she's still Alayne Stone except that now she acted on it by dying her hair.
The 3 lords of the vale she talked to are sweard to secrecy, no one will ever know Sansa is in the Vale yet.

And this is certainly why Arya and The Hound will never run into Sansa once they go through the gate

Agreed, she always has the same scenes, She's always outside some city walls yelling or trying to be all serious. I actually liked her in this scene, it was a change from her normal stuff. Yeah she was mad but a bit more controlled.

Emilia Clarke was so fantastic in her first season. It's a shame how far she has fallen.. but I think it has to do moreso with her character being staggeringly different and not really playing to her strengths as an actress.

Can we talk about how wonderfully great and well-paced and captivating this episode was, but then how it all ground to a terrible halt with that scene between Tyrion and Jaime in jail?

Most. Boring. Scene. Ever. And completely pointless. I almost slipped into a coma.

Tyrion is so overused, there are few times I ever remember being bored by a scene, but each time it's been one of his. They need to use him more sparingly and poignantly.

That entire jail scene could have been handled much better. I guess they wanted to show Tyrion and Jaime coping with the fact that the battle was about to start, but they could have written a monologue/story for them to talk about which was MUCH more concise and relevant, that was the worst thing I've seen on the show since they ruined Dany's story in late Season 2.

In the books The Mountain does die after the fight, but the Maesters of the Red Keep are summoned by Cersei and they bring him back using potions, Im assuming he was just comatose. The problem lies in the fact that Oberyn, making true to his name, coated the tip of the Spear he used to fight against Gregor with a horrible poison that causes him to live under excruciating agony while rotting alive from the inside out.
