I really do not know why there is outrage over the lack of media coverage for certain attacks. Let me list a variety of factors besides the "egocentrism of the Western world" that everybody is crying over.

1. These countries DO NOT WANT media coverage of these events. Their leaders has stated time and time again and have showed by their actions that they do not really care for their people so less coverage means their positions won't be in jeopardy.

I'm not saying its not a factor but what I mean is that its not that the west doesn't care about these people, they are more concerned for their own safety in their city rather than a destabilized region where these attacks will obviously continue given how many of these eastern nations are basically in proxy civil wars.

1.) Lies, which heads of state said that? Did the Kenyan president say it? The Lebanese president? That's simply ignorant, who wouldn't want concern raised over terrorist attacks in their countries.

2.) There were more people who died in Kenya in April, and the atrocities were not on a small scale level.

3.) These third world countries even though they're not as developed still have information structures, and it simply ignorant to assume that news coverage can't be offered in those areas.

4.) That's the entire gist of the conversation, Westerners not caring and neglecting these things till it happens to them.

1. Obviously they haven't explicitly said it. That doesn't mean they don't SUPPORT whats going on. And I wasn't referring to Lebanon and Kenya those countries aren't controlled by leaders whom are anti-west. I don't think you grasp the concept that these leaders are on the side of the supposed terrorists. Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, even Saudi Arabia to an extent. They DONT care about their people. Attacks happen over and over because these leaders are concerned only for themselves, their bureaucracies and the elite class.
2. Once again my post was in reference to the recent attacks to days ago not the Kenya one which in April i was on this very site angered by the complete lack of coverage on it.

I am not referring to internal media coverage I am referring to external coverage by westerners who can broadcast their footage on a global scale IE CNN, NBC etc. The media connections between the Western countries compared to other is not even comparable. Obviously they have news coverage but if theres not American media presence then the point is moot.
4. Yes I agree to an extent that the West is more concerned when attacks are made on them but that goes for any region. I'm sure if an attack was made on China they'd care but this one... not so much.

I disagree with #2. That's a lie.

But the rest is pretty much true. It's so transparent that all these people came rushing out the woodwork screaming about attacks in Lebanon, Iraq, etc. yet why now? They weren't requesting coverage when the attacks happened were they? Only now that Paris is under attack do they want to divert attention away from their crisis and give it to days or weeks old attacks. The transparent anti-Western agenda is too much.

I find it funny how nice us humans can be when paying our respect, but when it comes to saving our lives we'll do anything even stepping over memorial flowers and candles if needed. It just shows our primitive side coming out, so interesting.

The reason why Paris got much more coverage is because of two simple reasons:

1) This is the first major terrorist attack on Paris since we remember ourselves. People refer to Paris as the "City of Lights"; one of the iconic cities in the world that attracts millions of people each year.
2) The Middle-East is an area that is familiar with ongoing violence and war. Sadly, there is no "shock-value" in a terrorist attack of such scale. However, there are many organization working towards solving the Middle-East crisis, as vast and complicated it may be.
