There's just a lot of shame in accepting the love for her because of her weirdness, extreme association with gay culture and every controversial thing she does.
Granted, the support isn't as big as before, but she's not over. The way I see it, she went from being the biggest pop star in the world, to just being a successful pop star, and honestly, that's not bad.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up! She's no longer the "cool" star to love, but she'll be fine if she just keeps the head down and carries on releasing brilliant music, which she has been doing. People will get tired of bashing her eventually.
