Twice's latest single is reportedly delayed due to problems with the the group's voices.
Plans to release the girl group’s new track Cheer Up were postponed last month, due to “techinical production difficulties” with no new date announced.
And according to editors at Korean website Naver, the lack of new Twice material is reportedly because record company bosses are unhappy with the Like Ooh Ahh musicians' vocal work on the song.
“The single has been a nightmare for everybody involved,” a source tells the paper. “When it came down to the final version of the track, the label just didn’t like their voices and the producers were struggling to make it work with the recordings they had.”
The publication reports producers and executives have allegedly held emergency meetings with a view to transforming the track so it is ready for release.
“They’ve tried to find someone to add some guest vocals to strengthen the track instead of finding time in Twice's schedule to re-record – but they’ve really struggled,” the insider adds. “It’s been very stressful, the track should have been out a long time ago now.”
