Commander and Only Girl don't even sound alike. These ********s heard "command" and just began assuming ****.
It's not the genre people are referring to, it's the specific song & production.
But the sound is still reminiscent of older days. So it really makes no difference what anyone says.
It has the loud "SOS" & "DSTM" thumping bass that's so prevalent.
It has a loud chorus, similar to "Umbrella" somewhat.
It's an evolution of Rihanna and if anything an EVOLUTION of those #fail dance-pop songs which you people speak of.
